When you ring, if the item is available, they charge you for the call, the product itself, and then for postage on top. Even if they don’t have what you want, you’re still hit with the call cost. Feels like dodgy behaviour to me, and I’d steer clear of this firm.

If you check out the Scotts of Stow site, that number is meant for placing orders. They say 0844 numbers cost 7p a minute plus what your provider adds on, but my bill was more than £4! Virgin checked it and said the call came from a firm called "Delgard", which is a fencing company based in Spain or something!? Definitely very weird.

Sounds like a telemarketer to me. When I picked up, the guy started telling me about some “exciting offers” that might catch my interest. I asked what kind of offers and he said he’d only tell me if I gave him my address, name and age. No way am I falling for that.
