Just got my phone bill and was shocked to see that ringing this number to book a repair for my appliance ended up costing me £23! Does anyone know if there's a different number I could ring next time?

I can't believe Domestic and General Services Ltd are allowed to operate like this, it's well dodgy and our rubbish Government should really crack down on them. They’re running a proper scam. We bought a house recently and it had loads of AEG kitchen stuff, which comes with a 1 or 2 year warranty. That warranty is apparently covered by Domestic and General, but these lot try to force you into paying for another three years immediately, which is just wrong. Their customer service is rubbish, they’re just after your money, trying to get you to buy extra cover even though you already have a legit guarantee for a couple of years. Really shocking that AEG backs this sort of cash grab - they should actually be putting a stop to it instead.

Got a letter from Zanussi about some protection plan for a cooker they say I bought back in Jan 2017. Problem is, I haven’t bought any Zanussi stuff for ages, if at all. Really puzzled about it!
