08444480700 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 08444480700 👆 is reported as a fraudulent entity known as Oxygn8 that illicitly charges consumers, predominantly through premium rate SMS services, often without their knowledge or consent. Victims, largely Vodafone users but also customers of other providers, experience repeated weekly charges ranging from around £3 to over £20, sometimes totalling hundreds of pounds. Efforts to stop these deductions by texting STOP or contacting the company frequently fail, and customers often receive little support from network providers who claim limited power to block or refund. Some users have resorted to contacting customer service email addresses linked to Oxygn8 or seeking regulatory assistance, though resolution is inconsistent. The scam sometimes involves impersonation via social media, and victims report significant distress and financial loss. Vigilance and contacting your network provider promptly to block premium services is advised.

If you find that funds have been deducted from your mobile account, the first step is to reach out to your service provider, like Vodafone. Inform them of the issue and request them to block the associated “line” to prevent any further charges. Following that, it’s crucial to drop an email to "[email protected]", detailing the amount that was taken from you, and don't forget to include your phone number so they can verify the transaction. Just yesterday, I encountered a similar situation, contacted them via email, and received a response today. I’ve since provided my PayPal details and am now awaiting my refund. By the way, it was a helpful representative from Vodafone who supplied me with the email address "[email protected]". P.S.: I apologise for my English - I know it’s not the best! I genuinely hope this helps someone out there. Wishing you all the best! 😊

I found myself speaking with an individual in Australia, who informed me about a premium rate trivia game. They sent me a reference number related to my situation, and I highly recommend ringing 08444480700 to have them connect you and receive a case number. Additionally, you can reach out to them via email at [email protected]. It's also a good idea to ask your service provider to block any premium rate texts, as I was being hit with a charge of £4.50 every week. Only time will reveal if they get back to me.

Drop an email to [email protected]. While they might not return the entire sum, it's definitely the fastest method to receive a reply. I reached out to them earlier today regarding my refund request, and they responded almost straight away. However, I think I’ll hold off on celebrating until the money is back in my account.

Hello, I've noticed that my account has been charged £4.50 on three separate occasions-specifically on the 15th, 23rd, and 30th of December 2016, all linked to the number 80876. To be honest, I can’t recall getting any calls from this particular number. Could someone shed some light on this?

Since the start of December, I've been noticing a weekly charge of £4.50 cropping up on my account, regardless of how many times I've reached out to Vodafone. Each time I call, they assure me that it will be sorted, yet the deductions persist! I've even sent a text saying STOP to 8555, but that hasn't worked either. Has anyone got any tips on how to put an end to these money-grabbers?

I've noticed that Oxygen8 has stealthily drained £22.50 from my Vodafone account over the last three weeks, and I wasn't even aware of it until now. When I rang Vodafone, they could only block the number, but sadly, they can't help recover my funds. I tried leaving a message on Oxygen8's line but, frustratingly, no one has bothered to respond. This situation is quite alarming, and I'm seriously considering getting the police involved regarding this company.

I fell victim to a right dodgy scheme where some unscrupulous thief managed to extract cash from me, despite us having no prior dealings at all. It feels like outright robbery! How on earth do they manage to evade consequences for their actions?

I've had quite the run-in with those pesky blighters! It appears they're somehow rummaging through your SIM phone number with dodgy pop-ups that pinpoint your details, all while whisking you into their service without so much as a button click on your part. For myself, having a Mi-Fi dongle sans a keyboard really complicates matters. The state of my bill was so alarming that I only discovered my SIM number during my investigation-the thought of subscribing to these services has never crossed my mind, and I’ve never signed up for any of those money-guzzling numbers in my life. Maybe someone ought to kick off a Facebook group to gather those of us who’ve fallen victim to Oxygen8? Sharing our experiences could draw some serious attention! It might even push Oxygen8 to finally take notice, respond to emails, and sort out the mess created by the third parties they work with. Refunds should be on the table, after all-it's only fair, given that they bear responsibility!

Last month, Vodafone added an unexpected £17 to my bill. When I phoned them, turns out they had paid some scammer connected with them for sending me unwanted premium texts from 65065. I cancelled my direct debit to prevent this happening again, but this month they slapped on another £128 extra from the same source. Vodafone just said there's nothing they can do and that I need to sort it with the scammers myself. Now, my phone is blocked, no calls or texts allowed. Feels like the only choice is to ditch this useless provider altogether.

I've noticed an additional £17 tacked onto my Vodafone bill last month and, upon ringing them for clarity, discovered that they'd siphoned funds from my account to settle payments with some dodgy partner who bombarded me with unsolicited premium texts from the number 65065. After that, I promptly cancelled my direct debit to prevent any further mishaps, only to be hit with another outrageous £128 this month from the same source. Vodafone, it seems, is unwilling to assist and insists I must contact these con artists directly. Now, my phone is locked down, leaving me unable to make calls or send texts. Honestly, it seems like my sole recourse is to part ways with this hapless provider for good!

It appears I’ve fallen prey to a rather unfortunate situation-this month alone, I’ve been hit with charges exceeding £9 for something completely unrecognisable. I haven’t received any texts or calls from anyone apart from those in my circle. I took the initiative to contact T-Mobile, and they informed me that the source of these mysterious charges is something called Sight Mobile LTD, linked to the same 0844 4480 700 number. When I dialled that number, I was greeted with yet another one of those tedious automated messages, instructing me to press 1 to opt out, only for the call to abruptly end before I could complete the process. It wouldn't surprise me at all if I’m racking up extra costs just for that conversation as well!

I was billed £9 and then an additional £4.50! I've never signed up for anything or given permission for these charges. Fortunately, I reached out to Vodafone, and they were incredibly supportive. They placed a block on my account for all premium numbers and set a £0 overspend limit so that those sneaky 'charity subscriptions' couldn't take any more cash. On top of that, they refunded the £13.50 to my account. Just a heads up, this isn't Vodafone’s issue; it's those sneaky third-party scammers known as Oxygn8. After ringing the number, I pressed four to speak to customer service, and after a good thirty minutes, I eventually got through to someone. The chap on the other end was quite helpful. As soon as I connected, I asked him why we kept getting cut off whenever we tried to enter our number. I've noticed an odd entry on my phone bill for the last couple of months; first it was an extra £9 and now this month it’s gone up to an additional £13.50. When I contacted Vodafone, they informed me it was a third-party charge and that they couldn't assist, but they provided me with the number to the company in question. At this moment, I'm stuck on the line with Vodafone and I've conveyed all these remarks, informing them that this is indeed a fraudulent operation. They've escalated the matter to their so-called 'technical scam' team, which seems a bit fishy to me. Nevertheless, I've made a bit of a fuss about it, and as a result, they've added this number to their blacklist and reduced my tariff by 20% for the rest of my contract period. They informed me there's this £4.50 charge every month that I wasn't even aware of. I’d really like to get my money refunded as I don’t use it or have a clue what it’s for!

Blimey, £27 in just a month! My daughter hasn’t a clue what she’s signed up for-feels like an outright robbery in broad daylight!

We’ve just received our phone bill covering a fortnight, and it’s a staggering £726.09. Contacted Vodafone for clarification and was informed that a whopping £648.09 of that total is attributable to this particular number. Unbelievable!

Exercise caution with this firm! I was taken aback when my mobile provider informed me that my bill was an astonishing £60 higher than expected. Naturally, I was quite concerned and requested a detailed breakdown. They claimed I had participated in a quiz, which I can categorically say I have not. They provided me with a number for further inquiries: 0844 448 0700. I dialled it and was greeted with options-press 1 to remove your number or 2 to talk to someone. Eventually, a lady picked up and assured me that I would receive a callback by the end of the day. Yet, here I am, still waiting for that call! Tried again today, but it went straight to voicemail-I’ve left a message in hopes of a prompt response!

I was rather taken aback when I went to settle my mobile bill; it turned out to be a whopping £70 extra! The culprits? A mysterious number, 0844 448 0700, which they claimed was the reason for the surge. I decided to give them a ring to sort this out, but all I’ve heard is that someone will call me back. Well, three days have passed, and I’m still waiting with no sign of anyone reaching out! I've been trying to get through to them two to three times daily, and it's becoming quite infuriating. Honestly, this is not what I expected at all! 😡

I do not wish to receive the service you provide, nor have I requested it. Kindly cease any communications, as they are unnecessarily consuming my balance. The number in question is 081812041. Thank you.

I've recently discovered that my grandson, who is just 11, has been charged a weekly fee of £4.50 for his mobile, stemming from this particular number. I'm eager to terminate these charges, but I was instructed to send a text with the word "stop." Unfortunately, each time I attempt to do so, I get a message saying the text has failed to send. Could really use some assistance sorting this out!

In July, I discovered a charge from Oxygn 8 appearing on my phone. They've been deducting £4.50 from my account weekly ever since! After receiving their instructions to text 'stop', I attempted to do so, but the message was not recognised. I reached out to Vodafone for assistance, and they managed to block the number, but that didn't resolve the matter. I contacted Vodafone again today, only to be met with little more than the suggestion of changing my phone number, which is simply not an option for me! However, I persevered and called 084444 80700, and to my relief, I got through to a pleasant lady almost immediately. She promptly cancelled my subscription and noted down my details to issue a refund for all my £4.50 deductions. Apparently, a cheque should be arriving within the next fortnight. I’ll keep my fingers crossed and see what happens.

I've encountered issues with Vodafone as well; it strikes me as a bit dodgy, possibly one of their own ruses. The number isn't even functioning, yet they're perfectly content to siphon off £35 from my account each month. It's utterly ridiculous!

I've noticed a total of £4.50, yet over £22.50 has been deducted from my account. When I contacted Vodafone, the representative abruptly ended the call, claiming my children were to blame. It’s quite frustrating!

I recently decided to scrutinise my billing statements and was shocked to discover I’d been shelling out £4.50 a week to Oxygen 8 without my knowledge. Apparently, I had signed up for their services, though I was completely unaware! This outfit seems to have amassed a fair number of grievances dating back to at least 2011, if not further, yet they’re still plying their trade and, quite frankly, picking the pockets of unsuspecting customers. This sort of activity ought to be put to an end!

I've noticed that I've been billed three times in the last month for £20 each time, which has been rather frustrating over the course of three months. Efforts to reach out to the company have proven futile, and I'm beginning to contemplate switching my number altogether.

I've noticed a charge on my account related to this service, or whatever it's meant to be. I certainly haven’t signed up for anything like this, which makes me think it’s all a bit dodgy. Feels very much like a scam to me!

This is definitely a scam. We haven't signed up for anything like this, and Vodafone hasn't been particularly useful. Attempting to send a STOP text doesn't seem to work at all.

My partner has also fallen into the trap of accidentally tapping on a pop-up on his mobile. Vodafone isn’t able to assure us that he won’t face further charges since it’s an 08 number, and unfortunately, that type can’t be blocked as it’s linked to emergency services...

I've encountered a similar issue. I'm on a Vodafone contract and have noticed an excess of £20 charged over the past two months for this Oxygn8-08444480700 number. It seems like nobody is addressing the grievances I've raised. Quite frustrating, really!

I've noticed a recurring charge of £4.50 monthly from something called oxygn8, and I'm utterly baffled since I haven't downloaded anything related to it. I'm quite frustrated with these ongoing deductions. Is there a way to claim a refund and ensure that these charges don’t keep appearing?

Recently, I’ve been hit with eight charges, each £4.50, spaced out over the past two months by an outfit named Oxygen. After reaching out, my network provider handed me this number. I’m keen to get a refund! I haven’t subscribed to anything, so I find these charges utterly unwarranted.

I've found myself being billed £72.00 by a firm named Oxygn8, and Vodafone seems completely uninterested in helping me sort this mess out. Does anyone have any advice on how I might be able to secure a refund? I attempted to ring the number provided, only to be left on hold listening to music at a rate of 35p per minute, and eventually a voice recording informed me they couldn’t take my call. What a frustrating experience!

I've recently noticed two deductions of £4.50 each, spaced out over a fortnight, from something referred to as Oxygen. My mobile provider provided me with this contact number. I'm keen to get a refund as I haven't subscribed to any service, hence it feels like I'm being billed for no valid reason.

I've just had a glance at our most recent invoice, and lo and behold, we're slapped with a charge of £124.59 linked to this number. Honestly, these folks have been utterly useless. They did offer us a paltry refund, but were quite dismissive otherwise. They supplied us with a number to try and get in touch, but it's been a wild goose chase. We've been told that any further messages will incur additional charges - lovely, isn't it? What's even more frustrating is that we're led to believe these calls can't even be blocked. It seems our only option left is to change our phone number entirely.

I've successfully managed to get them to stop all communications with us. We called the number and pressed four to connect with customer services. I was on hold for what felt like an eternity-about thirty minutes-but eventually, I got through. The call centre staff were British, which was a bit reassuring. As soon as I finally spoke to someone, I inquired about why we kept getting cut off whenever we tried to enter the number. They asked for our number, and after we provided it, they assured us that we shouldn’t receive anything from them in the future. Now, it's just a matter of waiting and seeing what happens next, I suppose.
