When I pushed back, they claimed our number had been provided by the firm linked to this line. I’m quite reluctant to ring them back, as that’s often a costly affair. I’m left pondering how on earth they obtained our number and what measures we can take to prevent it from being shared further. We’re registered with the Telephone Preference Service, and until now, our peace has rarely been disrupted. Any guidance would be appreciated! I use the term services quite loosely, as the reality is that many of these calls come from pesky spammers. The Information Commissioner's Office did impose a fine on them not too long ago, yet it seems they’ve resurfaced, causing trouble once more. In fact, my own number was sold under false pretences to another so-called legitimate organisation in Manchester, Atrium, who eventually reached out to express their apologies.
