I recently had a rather unfortunate experience with extended warranties for gaming consoles, and I must say, I would strongly advise against going through Argos for such matters. It's far more prudent to handle it via your home contents insurance instead. Our Xbox has already been sent off for repairs to Maintenance Direct three times now, despite Microsoft declaring it irreparable. It's been an infuriating saga where they seem to just keep dragging things out. So, in short, do yourself a favour and steer clear of Argos' extended warranty for consoles.
