I recently received a rather dubious call from a number demanding a payment of £2267.62, claiming to be from O2. However, when I attempted to verify the number against what I found on O2's official site, it didn't match at all. This leads me to suspect it's nothing more than a scam, so I'm sharing my experience here. Please, do not part with any cash or personal details if you encounter this! I'm really hoping that authorities or sorting out these scams can step in and assist us. The number of scams in the UK is simply outrageous! I've received a rather dodgy call from a firm posing as O2, attempting to convince me that I've got an outstanding payment with them. Definitely feels like a con!

This could very well be a dodgy O2 number, as it’s sending out bills along with a customer service number to call. Steer clear of that number! Instead, I suggest you visit O2’s official website to find their verified contact number. Keep in mind, though, that they don’t appear to show much concern about these issues.
