Turns out this number is linked to a service that reads out text messages on your landline. If you let the whole message play through, you get the choice twice to turn off the service. Then, if you want those texts read to you again later, you just have to give this number another ring to switch it back on.

An automated voice said I had a text message, but I couldn’t get to any message at all. Feels like some kind of bot checking phone numbers for a big spam email list from small companies maybe?

Early morning on 30/12/2016, this number rang me twice on my landline, claiming they'd sent a text message. Since then, I've decided to block all texts from reaching my home phone.

Got a call super early at like 7 this morning, but it was all robotic and I couldn’t make out what they were saying or who they were. Really annoyed because it woke me up and for a moment I thought maybe something serious had happened in the family. They definitely shouldn’t be calling so early, it’s too much!
