I've just received a right dodgy call from 0844 357 0381, with someone claiming to be from HMRC. They said legal action was being taken against me and mentioned some case they were pursuing. Interestingly, they provided an office address that happens to be the actual HMRC location: 100 Parliament Street, London, SW1A 2BQ. This so-called "official" insisted I could sort everything out by handing over a whopping £3975.00 within the next hour or so. They even tried to pull a fast one on me, saying the issue dated back to when I was about in the 80s, when I was merely delivering newspapers! The chap on the phone introduced himself as Mike Wilson and claimed to have an ID number of 180359. Just watch out for 0844 357 0381, as it’s clearly a scam!

I find it crazy how loads of people freak out over really obvious scams. Seriously, it’s no wonder so many end up on the “easy mark” list, getting duped left and right. It’s honestly just mind blowing how gullible some folks can be. Then again, maybe some of them are more worried about a rogue asteroid smashing through their house or something. And when they hear a loud noise? “Phew, thank heavens, it’s just a plane landing nearby.” Bit daft, innit?

Dont bother calling back the number. Got a message on my voicemail last Friday from someone calling themself "Michael Coleman" claiming to be from HMRC, saying there was some lawsuit against me and I needed to call back. He never even used my name though, which seemed dodgy. I ended up sending an email to the official HMRC contact and got a reply basically saying this was almost certainly a scam and they need more reports to track down these fraudsters. Please be careful and if you suspect its a scam, verify directly through the HMRC website.

Got a call from someone who said their name was Michael Coleman, and it turned out to be really aggressive and threatening. When I answered, a person on the other end was unbelievably rude, snapping at me out of nowhere. They even started accusing me of having a load of criminal charges hanging over me, which is just crazy. Honestly, don’t pick up or ring back if you see the number 084 4357 0381 - it’s not worth the stress.

What a horrible and risky scam this is! Getting a threatening call pretending to be from HMRC is a proper cause for concern and it really should be treated with the utmost seriousness by the authorities. Got a call from someone saying they were HMRC, telling me if I or my lawyer didn’t return the call on 08443570381, I’d be in big trouble with fines and worse. Sounds like a total scam to me, should be reported ASAP.

Just got a voicemail from what looks like a HMC scam. Be careful and don’t trust it straight away. Best thing to do is check directly with HMC or google the number to find out if its listed as a scam. Stay safe!

Like some have mentioned already, they say they’re from HMRC, but it’s clearly a con. I can see how it’d be really scary for someone who’s more vulnerable to get a call like that, especially with that creepy ‘and take care’ bit at the end! Absolute muppets.

Got a call and as soon as the person said something about HM Revenue, I just hung up straight away.

Got a call from 08443570381, another obvious scam. Honestly, these people should just be put behind bars and forgotten about.

Total scam alert here. Got a voicemail that sounded like some fake HMRC auto message. It said I had to ring back or else there’d be serious trouble. Clearly just trying to freak people out.

Got a recorded message saying it was from HMRC. They warned me that if I or my lawyer didn’t call back, legal steps would be taken. Definitely a total scam, obvious from the start.

Got a call claiming to be from HMRC, but it felt off. I know HMRC normally don’t ring you up like that - if there’s a problem, they send letters or fines, no chasing calls. Definitely a scam trying to scare you into giving money!

Got a message from some automated voice saying they were from HMRC, said I'd better call them back or face legal trouble. The catch? Calling back would cost a fortune. Definitely a scam, don’t fall for it!

Got a voicemail from a woman, sounded robotic, saying she’s from HMRC and wants me to ring back. She warned that if neither me nor my lawyer get in touch, there’ll be some sort of trouble. Pretty sure it’s a scam.
