I've found myself in a remarkably similar predicament. I recently signed up for a Vodafone contract through a company called Phones For You. However, as soon as I tried to reach out to them on the phone number provided, I was met with silence. They sent us some paperwork from a firm named Fonelife based in Swansea, along with a receipt for our payment. Strangely enough, we never provided them with our bank details-they seemed to have them already. Now, I'm at a complete loss regarding our next steps. What should we do now?

We thought we were speaking to O2, but it turned out to be a right con! They claimed they had to update our phone insurance and requested our bank card information. Foolishly, we gave them our details. When we contacted O2 directly, we discovered that this was nothing but a scam.
