some lady left a voicemail saying i’d won £1000, so obviously i hung up straight away. then they kept calling me again and again, like 4 times within 5 minutes. pretty sure it’s just a total scam.

That call was definitely a scam, no doubt about it.

They called me a couple of times earlier today but I didn't manage to pick up either time. Honestly, how do they keep finding my number? I only just switched networks, got a brand new sim and number that's barely been shared - only a couple of relatives have it! And then I get these calls out of the blue. This kind of stuff is exactly the reason I decided to change my number in the first place!

Got a call about some survey, promised £200 worth of vouchers for different shops. Total marketing rubbish, so I’ve blocked the number straight away!

Picked up the call from my mobile, but the caller disconnected immediately. I’m on the Telephone Preference Service list, mind you. When I tried ringing the number back on my work phone, I was met with a rather dodgy automated message saying, 'Congratulations! You’ve been chosen for a chance to win £200 in high street vouchers or even an iPad. Just press 2 for more details.' Naturally, I hung up and promptly blocked the number on my mobile.

I recently received a call on my mobile from this number, and when I picked up, there was nothing but silence. After a short while, I decided to call back, only to be greeted by a pre-recorded message claiming I’d "won £200 worth of high street vouchers or an iPad" and urged me to press 2 to claim my prize. Naturally, I chose not to engage. I’m quite wary of unsolicited offers like these - they often turn out to be dubious schemes.
