I found that if I don't pick up when they ring, they just keep the line open for like 10 to 15 minutes with nonstop buzzing, but once I finally answer, there’s complete silence. Next time they ring, I’m thinking of messing about by saying something like ‘I’m driving, can I call you later?’ or maybe telling them I’m gonna take legal action just to see what they do.

This number has rang me 5 times today, all between 10 in the morning and just now at 3:24pm. Out of those, 3 calls were dead silent and then they just dropped the call. One call was some kinda recorded message about banks and the last one was about an accident they thought I was involved in.

My London home phone buzzed twice and when I answered, there was just silence for about 25 seconds. I tried ringing them back from a 0471 number but clearly, they have no plans to pick up incoming calls! The recorded message was something like: "Hello, this is Orient Utilities (or maybe Oriel or Orion - the thick Northern Irish accent made it hard to catch). Sorry we missed you to tell you about our special Gas & Electricity deal, but don’t worry, we’ll ring again." Honestly, please don’t bother calling me back.

Got this call on my landline first, then my mobile rang with the same number, and just moments ago my partner's phone buzzed too. Seems like some sort of robot making these calls. The number starts with 0843, so if you ring back expect to be charged extra. I’d say it’s likely a scam, steer clear and don’t return the call.

this number has been blowing up my phone for days now. ive told them to take me off their list plenty of times but nope, still ringing. just today at 4:13 in the afternoon they called again. i started telling them to stop but the bloke just hung up on me! honestly, thats a rubbish way to handle someone who might have been interested.
