These sad little creatures have switched up their game now. It’s a pre-recorded female voice saying something like “thank you for signing up with us, we’ll ring you back soon.” Yeah, sure! To whoever’s sending this rubbish: Sort yourself out, you daft idiot!

This person keeps ringing me over and over with the same annoying tactic, I guess you could call it the "tap and dash". They use lots of numbers that are very similar. I've been keeping track and saving them for months now. Got loads of them that I'll be passing on to Police Scotland soon. If more folks did this, maybe they could track down the caller and get them in trouble properly.

Worth mentioning that 0843 numbers seem to charge you by the minute each time you call. Kinda feels like a bit of a rip-off, if you ask me.

08438930079 Ever since we got this phone about a year back, we get calls every single day. When I got our bank statement, I noticed over £200 had been taken out. I called EE and they said we'd been on the phone to this number from 11pm on 20/10/14 till 5am the next morning. They refuse to give us a refund, so I contacted BBC's Rip Off Britain and also requested a form from the ombudsman.

I just checked my recent Virgin mobile bill and was shocked to see charges for 192.29 minutes totalling £78.92 linked to this number. I never called it or had any clue about it. I got in touch with Virgin and they said they'd sort it out and remove it from my bill. Fingers crossed they actually do!

Had a call that dropped off after just a couple rings as i was reaching for my phone. I went ahead and rang back cause i’m waiting on a parcel. Weird thing was, even tho i could hear the other side ringing, my screen said it was ‘connected’. Really hope it’s not one of those dodgy scams charging loads per second. Feels like they might try to keep you on the line ringing, but actually you’re connected and racking up charges. Proper shady if you ask me!

This is definitely one of those scams, trying to get you to call back a pricey number. If someone calls you from a number you don’t recognise and they don’t bother to leave a message, it’s safe to say it’s nothing worth your time. Better to just ignore it than get caught out by these dodgy calls.
