Got a message asking if I tried to make a payment of £3950.00 at UKMEDIA. It said if it was me, reply Y, if not, ring 0843 886 8259 straight away. Then, not long after, another one popped up claiming Santander spotted a strange login from a new device. They wanted me to verify my account by going to some dodgy link. Said if I didn’t do it in 24 hours, my online access would be blocked. Proper scam, definitely trying to catch people out.

I have both business and personal accounts at Santander, and I got a message about £3950 supposedly from UK Media. It looked really real since it popped up right alongside my usual Santander texts. I was lucky not to ring the number, but it’s tricky because the message appears in the same feed as my legitimate bank alerts. Proper sneaky, really. :(

I seriously don't even bank with Santander, so this call was super sketchy. These lot must be some kind of scammers, just tryna fool folks into pricey callback traps. I've gone ahead and blocked the number, no way I'm dealing with those cheats.

Got a message saying £3950 was withdrawn from my account. Funny thing is, I had no idea I even had that much money in there.

Just like all the other replies, no response at all. I tried to check if they really wanted to take £3950.00 out of my bank, but got nothing back. I've gone ahead and blocked the number now!

Like others have mentioned, they tried to swipe £3950 from my bank, but no way am I letting that happen! Honestly, just ignore these dodgy calls. Don’t waste your time replying!

I got a call from someone claiming to be my bank, asking if I’d authorised a payment with a certain amount and company. They told me to ring a number if I hadn’t. But my bank only uses 0800 numbers, and when I checked with them, they said there was nothing suspicious on my account. Definitely a scam.

Just received a message saying there was a £3950 payment tried on my account from "Santander". Bit odd really, since I don't actually have an account with them!

This looked like a text from my Santander bank, which appeared right where I usually get messages from them, but it was a scam. It asked if I'd paid £3950 to UKMedia and told me to call a certain number if not. Santander told me scammers can easily intercept their texts and that they’d never send phone numbers or links in messages. I did call the number but got suspicious when the music waiting sounded wrong. Make sure you warn your family and mates about this!

Got a text from a number pretending to be my bank asking if I’d paid “mediauk” and telling me to ring 08438868259 if I hadn’t. Warning: it’s a total scam! If you call, they keep you waiting forever and you end up burning through your phone credit or getting a huge bill if you're not PAYG like me. Saying it's dangerous doesn't even cover it. These nasty people deserve a serious punishment - honestly, they should face some real consequences for this.
