Make sure you block 0843 877 6926 right away! This number is apparently used to check if your phone is active, and if you answer, your details end up on scammer databases. These crooks will go to any lengths to rob you, from stealing your pension to getting your car seized. Some even trick folks into paying for bogus car insurance - you hand over cash, they cancel your policy, and then you’re left with fines and no coverage, ending up having to walk everywhere. I’ve reported the number to BT and Ofcom so hopefully they’ll take action against these fraudsters.

I got a call from a number linked to Numbers Telecom Ltd - they just ring and hang up right away, hoping you ring back. If you do, you end up listening to a long recorded spiel that costs a fortune since it's a premium rate. Really annoying!

Received yet another mystery call pretending to be from the emergency transplant and blood request team. If anyone rings you with something like this, just block the number straight away and don’t answer. Blocking these calls stops them wasting time and could actually help if someone really needs urgent blood donations for a family member.
