This is definitely a scam. For about 4 years now, I keep getting missed calls from numbers starting with 0843 almost every single day. Every time I just block and report them. Usually, the call just rings briefly and then stops, so I miss it. One time I picked up, and it was just some automated voice menu with no introduction or option to leave a message. When I asked my phone company, they said they can’t block 0843 numbers, which is frustrating.

Got a call from an unfamiliar number so I just let it go. Numbers starting with 0843 call me at least a couple of times daily. It's quite annoying, and they never bother to leave a message. I just block the number straight away.

Got a call from 0843 868 8629 and they just cut off straight away. I called back without thinking and after about 10 seconds they charged me 62p. It was some sort of automated system and a British lady’s voice said I could get a new iPhone if I entered my number. Didn’t trust it and ended the call. Definitely a dodgy scam.

I’ve no clue who it is. They ring me but always just let it ring for a few seconds and then cut off. Next time they call, it’s from another 0843 number! Proper annoying.

They keep ringing me, so I block the number but then they call back from a number that's just a bit different. It only rings once then they hang up straight away.

Got two calls from this number, on the second one I picked up but no one spoke. Seems like they hang up quickly so you ring them back and they make cash from it. Better to just block them and stay safe.
