She was dead set on not selling me anything but kept chatting about life insurance. Didn't let me get a word in, even after I said I wasn't interested and mentioned my sister is really poorly. She just kept pushing. If we were in person, I swear I'd have told her off properly. Seriously, dont pick up straight away!

Got a call from a money advice place using a number pretty close to that. Told them nicely to remove me from their list, then when they rang again said the same thing and warned them if they called again I'd give them a mouthful. Sure enough, after the third call they got a right earful. Now this new number just rings me once daily and hangs up as soon as I pick up.

Got a call from someone saying they’re from "Finance Bureau" with a terrible accent. Didn’t even say hello, just yelled my last name. I ended the call and put them straight on blocked.

I didn’t let the caller get a word in since there was that typical delay you get when it’s a call from a call centre. My wife just said she wasn’t familiar with the person the caller was asking for and then ended the call.

I received a call from a chap with a strong accent, and he shot out his name in a blur. When I inquired about the company he represented, his response was just as rapid and rather muddled. He seemed far more eager to overwhelm me with chatter, suggesting they could sort out any issues I had with my bank. If I recall correctly, he mentioned something that sounded like FBA. I firmly told him that I was fully capable of managing my affairs, thanked him for his unsolicited assistance, and swiftly hung up before he could utter another word.
