I received an automated call claiming I’d won some money. I hung up straight away because those things often end up racking up charges just by picking up the phone!

I decided not to pick up the incoming call on my mobile. It eventually went straight to my voicemail. Upon checking it, I heard a message claiming I had won a prize and instructed me to press '2'. I opted to ignore it and just deleted the voicemail, yet somehow I ended up being charged 32p. Quite baffling!
