If you’re on iOS, here’s a trick: go to Settings, then Phone, then Blocked Contacts. From there, hit Add New and make a contact named something like "Ignore This Number". Just chuck all those PPI callers into that contact and you’ll be done with them. Works for me every time.

some nasty lady kept ringing me and didnt care that it was upsetting me. she reckoned she had a right to call because i must’ve had ppi at some point. i told her no way, never had it, but she said i was wrong and her firm had a legal duty to represent me. when i said a) i dont want them representing me and b) that was pure rubbish, she got rude and just dropped the call. if you can, block their number. they seem proper dodgy and like they use shady tactics to get customers.

PPI calls once more. Honestly, I’m so tired of getting loads of calls every single week. Tried calling them back to get off their list, and all I got was, ‘Sorry, this is the refunds dept, not complaints, I’ll transfer you’, then some hold music, and the call just drops. Totally agree with the comment about the number’s last few digits always changing, so blocking them is useless. Same sneaky trick is used by the heating engineers, insulation folks, and others too. Really wish the authorities would do something and slap big fines on these annoying lot!
