On the 5th of October, I received a rather unwelcome call from a gentleman of Asian descent claiming to represent some sort of debt advisory firm. My wife intervened, reminding him that we were registered with the Telephone Preference Service and firmly asked him to terminate the conversation. He hung up promptly. However, just a minute later, the phone rang anew, and I picked up. This same gentleman started mumbling something incoherent, so I inquired about what he meant. He then rather rudely told me to "shove my preference service where the sun doesn’t shine and to get lost." Rather taken aback, I simply responded with a "thank you" and ended the call.
