Received a rather dodgy call seeking personal details. The individual claimed I was owed refunds from Barclays for the years 2004, 2005, and 2006. I promptly informed him that I've never had a Barclays account and mentioned that my number's on the do-not-call register. He persisted with five calls in total, which eventually pushed me to my limit - I lost my cool and resorted to some choice words, even warning him off. If he dares to ring again, I’m prepared to inform him that I’ll be recording our conversation for the police. It’s crucial not to share any details with these deceitful individuals. They’ll throw around various bank names until you inadvertently mention something. Make sure to demand they provide precise information and ask them to send it through the post. I’ve got a password protocol set up with my bank, which they must provide if they reach out to me. I know from experience it doesn’t take long before they attempt to gather bits of that password by continually pestering you for different letters. Stay alert; these con artists can be relentless and downright unpleasant.

I got a call from the same person today. He managed to get some stuff right, like my address, but he mixed up my name and kept insisting we'd taken out a loan, which we definitely haven't. I kept him on the line for a bit so I could check if it was a scam online, and it totally was. The guy was really pushy and kind of hard to understand, but he didn’t get what I was saying when I told him to stop. I warned him if he rang again, I'd report him to the cops. Then he said they’d keep calling every day until the refund was sorted (which made no sense). I hung up, and when he called back, I just ignored it. Planning to report the number to trading standards, and would suggest everyone else do the same!

Over the last couple of days, I’ve gotten around 10 calls from these annoying people. When I pick up, it’s dead silent on the other end, so I stay quiet. Then I hear some bloke with an Indian accent laughing and asking for “Mr ******”, but using my first name instead of my last. I tried complaining to the TPS, but they say they won’t do anything if there’s no company name, and they don’t handle scam calls - only genuine businesses. Plus, they ignore calls that are just recorded messages. Apparently, scams have to be reported to the police, but proving they’re scams is near impossible. Basically, these calls will never stop! Do you think writing to your MP might make any difference?

It's kind of funny, really - just as I'm going through this post, there's a PPI ad popping up at the bottom asking folks to put in their info!! Bit of a cheeky coincidence, isn't it?

These lot keep ringing from all sorts of numbers, clearly trying to trick folks into handing over private info. They seem to target older people who might not be so savvy about scams and phone fraud. Over the last couple of days I’ve had multiple calls. They even tried ringing an elderly family member to persuade her to share bank details, claiming it would put a stop to nuisance calls. Now I just let the answerphone pick up - they hang up straight away when it kicks in. Most callers sound like they're from South Asia - Indian, Pakistani, that sort of thing.

Just got a phone call from an Asian gentleman who was really hard to catch what he was saying. He asked for me by name and claimed he was calling to sort out a refund on a loan I'd supposedly taken out. When I told him I never had any loan at all, he insisted I must be wrong and talked about a loan from ages ago, something between 2000 and 2008. Once I made it clear that I knew nothing about that, I told him to stop calling me and just hung up. The caller said his name was William, number was 08436849987.

This number called me again today, and it was already the tenth time they've rung me up. They kept saying I had PPI to claim, which is complete rubbish. The caller was an Asian man whose accent was hard for me to understand. When I asked him to remove me from their call list, he shockingly said it would cost me £50, payable right away. I said no thanks and made it clear I didn’t want any more calls. Then he started threatening to keep me on the line, claiming I’d be charged £90 for six minutes on my phone bill. He got really nasty after that, telling me they’d sue me for wasting their time unless I paid £200 to be removed, or else they’d keep ringing me and charging for every call. I can’t help but wonder how many people they’ve tricked into paying out of fear of a massive bill. I’m definitely blocking this number and won’t be coughing up any money!

This number kept ringing me repeatedly, so I finally picked up and asked to be taken off their calling list. A bloke with an Asian accent started saying I had some unclaimed pension or something. I told him it was rubbish as we’ve already got a financial advisor and everything sorted out. He wouldn’t take no for an answer and accused me of being stupid for not listening. I told him he was being arrogant and to remove my number. Then, out of nowhere, he blew a really loud whistle down the phone! Weirdly enough, he hung up right after that. If he calls again, I’m just going to ignore it. Honestly, why does the government let sleazy firms sell our info to these scammy companies? It’s totally wrong on so many levels. My advice? Get yourself one of those call recognising phones - it lets you save family and mates’ numbers, so any calls from strangers you don’t know just get blocked or ignored. Works a treat!

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent, but she was really hard to get. I kept asking which company she was from, but she just cut me off after I asked three times. At least they gave me a number so I can block it now. Caller: Unknown.

I’ve been getting calls from this number several times over the past few days. Never picked up because the area code isn’t familiar and looks suspicious. Really annoying, honestly!

This number has been ringing me up loads, with someone claiming to be "Michael from road traffic control" saying my family’s died in a crash and they need cash to send the bodies back. I cut them off right away, telling them flat out that their name isn’t Michael, my family’s fine, and if they called again I’d report them to the police. Honestly, I wasn’t happy and probably swore a bit. Just to add, I don’t have a car and neither do most of my family, so it’s all a rubbish scam anyway. Watch out, folks!

Got 4 calls within just an hour from an Asian lady asking for me. Every time I asked who she was, she refused to say. Proper frustrating to keep getting these calls despite having the number blocked and being registered with the TPS. Such a pain!

I've been getting loads of calls for a person who doesn’t even live at my address, like 3 or 4 times daily. They completely ignore me when I say no and just keep ringing back! I've mentioned I'm on the TPS list, but it makes no difference. When I ask who they’re calling from or which firm they represent, they just won’t tell me. It's really annoying!

Some bloke from Asia keeps ringing us non-stop, saying he needs to talk to my nan about some cash she supposedly should get back. It's really worrying, you know? When I pick up, he just shuts the phone in my face and won’t say a word to me. He’s only interested in my grandmother. Can someone help us out here?

This number rang me about 4 times today, with each caller having an English name but speaking with Asian accents, saying they were from PPI Refund. When I asked how they even got my details, one of them just snapped and said 'go to hell'. Honestly, I felt like I should’ve been the one saying that!

This number keeps calling about PPI, even though I keep telling them to stop. My wife is battling cancer right now, and we really don’t need this stress on top of everything else. They just won’t take us off their list no matter what I say.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent looking for Mr Clark - which ain't me, I've had this number for over 15 years. He was trying to sell me some PPI refund. I told him my number's on the TPS list and that calling me breaks telecom rules, which can mean a hefty fine. Suddenly he claimed he was some FBI agent and said I was being watched for nuisance calls! I just laughed, he got angry, then slammed the phone down.

I swear, the next time some numpty rings me up and just stays silent before hanging up, I’m gonna lose it. Got so flustered trying to pick up the phone quick I nearly tumbled off my stepladder! Proper frustrating that is.

Got a call from an Asian guy asking for Mr Clark, who isn’t me and I’ve had this number for about 16 years now. He was trying to sell some PPI refund thing. Told him I’m on the TPS list and that he’s against the rules for ringing me up like this. Suddenly he flips and says he’s an FBI agent checking on me for making nuisance calls! I just burst out laughing, he cursed, then quickly ended the call.

Got a call from an Asian gentleman who said he was trying to return £600 linked to a PPI claim I supposedly made years ago, maybe 2004 or 2008 - which is totally false. He rattled off a bunch of banks when I asked where the money was coming from, but when I pressed him on which bank exactly, he just hung up. I've blocked the number since then.

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent claiming he was from some PPI Refund Company. While he was talking, I quickly looked it up online but couldn't find any legit business by that name. I asked him repeatedly who he actually worked for, like five times, and each time he just said "PPI Refund." Then he got a bit rude and asked if I couldn’t understand English. He started telling me I supposedly had a loan from 2004 to 2008 that included PPI. That’s rubbish because I never had any loans then, let alone insurance on them. I told him I only ever bought payment protection once, about 20 years ago, so there was no way I had mis-sold PPI. He kept insisting I needed PPI on loans though. When I said I’m an accountant, he abruptly ended the call. Not even bothered when I mentioned I was registered with Telephone Preference and that I’d report him. Proper waste of time.

Been living in our place for about a year and a bit now, and this number rings me every single day wanting to talk to someone who isn’t here and we don’t even know. I’ve told them so many times that the person they’re after isn’t around, but they just keep on ringing. Tried asking for a manager yesterday and the bloke just cut me off. Really annoying!
