On Thursday, the 28th of August, I received a call on my PAYG mobile, which I reserve solely for a select few contacts. Consequently, I tend to assume unknown numbers are spam. I often get these random calls, roughly on a weekly basis, primarily from 0843 724 or 0843 654 series, where the last four digits seem to alter every time. The very first time I picked up such a call, I was met with an eerie silence, followed by an automated message starting up-at which point, I promptly terminated the call.
