It’s exactly as others have pointed out! I had a similar experience where I ended up losing a quid after calling back. The message I got was quite cheeky, claiming, “Amazing news! You’ve been selected to win either £1,000 or an iPad 2 for just two minutes of your time. Press 2 to learn more or 9 to opt out.” But just as I was getting ready, the line dropped, leaving me no chance to do anything whatsoever! Absolute nonsense!

What a right swindle! If you dare to call back, they'll snatch a quid from your pocket. You’ll hear some absurd message claiming, "Brilliant news! You’re in the running to score £1000 or an iPad 2, all for a mere two minutes of your day. Just hit 2 to learn more or 9 if you'd rather skip it." But lo and behold, before you can even blink, they cut the line, leaving you no chance to select any of those options! Absolutely outrageous!
