had this happen loads of times, phone rings a couple times then hangs up before i can pick up. only a bit daft person would ring back and end up paying 45p a min plus some extra charges. honestly, avoid calling any 0843 numbers, its a total rip off. annoys me how these scam calls keep coming.

CRAZY THING IS HOW SOME FOLKS FALL FOR THIS. Got a call from one of those usual scammers that just leaves the phone ringing a bunch of times so you can't pick up, then hopes you'll dial back by pressing some buttons. Honestly, only a right mug would ring them back and end up paying 45p a minute plus extra charges. Honestly, these sorts need to be blocked for good. Never ever ring back any 0843 numbers, it’s not worth it.

Since I didn’t recognise the number, I chose not to pick up.

I just had a call from some robot voice, it said "well done you've been picked to win £1000 or an iPad, press 2 and we'll ring you back within 24 hours or press 9 to be taken off the list." I hit 9 and then this other strange voice came on, sounded like a terrible Siri, saying something like "you're now added to our No Call list" or something, but I couldn't really catch what it was saying. Quite odd!
