I called the DWP about my ESA application and they gave me this number to ring, 08435158181. Saw this number on my phone bill recently and noticed a call lasting 53 seconds that we definitely didn’t make. They keep ringing but we usually just ignore it. Maybe someone here answered briefly then hung up, but still, we were billed £9.40 for the call. We’re with TalkTalk and already asked them to block these numbers after something similar happened before, yet they still manage to get through. Honestly, the government should ban this kind of thing and put the people responsible in court. It’s crazy they’re allowed to do this - you’re not getting any service or goods, it’s basically theft, and they get away with it...
