08435047221 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 08435047221 👆 is reported as a nuisance scam number often using automated female voices that falsely claim your broadband or router is compromised and will be disconnected shortly. Callers push you to press keys or download software, then try to gain remote access, often originating from offshore call centres. Many report they pretend to be from BT or BT Openreach, asking about phone lines, handsets, and business director details, likely to gather info for fraudulent purposes. The calls can be silent, intrusive, or aggressive if challenged. Several users highlight it’s not from genuine BT and warn against engaging, as the number appears to be used to harvest details or facilitate scam attempts under the guise of broadband problems or maintenance works.

I’ve been getting loads of calls every single day. Same number. It’s really annoying!

Got a call from a robot lady warning me they’d cut off my internet in 4 hours if I didn’t do something. Proper scary stuff.

Got a call today from this number, which turned out to be some automated machine gathering phone numbers. Shortly after, I got another call from a dodgy lot claiming they were from Microsoft, trying to convince me they needed to access my computer and laptops. Sounds like they’re just passing numbers around for shady companies to scam people for money. Stay clear!

I don't subscribe to BT's broadband services, so it struck me as suspicious-definitely seems like a scam!

I've received calls from this number two times today. Each time an automated voice said my internet might go offline in 4-6 hours because of an issue with my router. The message told me to press 1 to speak with them or 2 to end the call. I just ended the call straight away. This feels like some sort of scam (not sure what exactly), so I'd tell anyone else to simply ignore and hang up.

Got a call with a robotic voice telling me my BT broadband was going to be cut off because of some problem. They said I could press 1 to talk to them or 2 to end the call. Of course, I just put the phone down. Makes me curious how many folks actually punch in those numbers and what actually goes down if they do?

I received a call today from an automated system stating that our BT Broadband was going to be cut off because of an issue. They prompted me to hit 1 if I wanted to discuss it with them, or 2 to end the call. I decided to hang up instead.

Someone rang claiming to be from the BT local exchange, saying there was some work in the area and wanting to find out how many phones we had connected. When I asked for a contact number, they gave me a BT one, but it turned out they had actually called our old company number that’s forwarded from London. So when I asked who they thought they were speaking to, they got the name wrong. I told them it wasn’t us and they just hung up straightaway. Not sure what they were after with that call!

Got a call from 'number withheld' claiming they were from the BT exchange saying there’s some work needed on faulty lines. They threw me off by giving a fake number starting with B’s code. After that, they rattled off some marketing info and tried to sneak in a money-making scam. Proper dodgy!

Got a really pushy sales call from someone claiming to be with BT Openreach. Honestly, their approach was so daft. They seriously need some proper training on how to do cold calls without sounding annoying!

Got a call supposedly from BT exchange saying there were some repairs happening nearby. Then they started asking for the name of our managing director to supposedly send a letter about covering any expenses for the business. They also wanted to know how many phones we had and how long we’ve had them. I wasn’t convinced it was really BT and when I challenged them and refused to give info, the caller sounded a bit annoyed.
