I've received calls from these individuals on two occasions-first back in October 2012 and then again just a moment ago. Each time it's been a robotic message urging me to "Press 5 to make a claim." Yet, there's absolutely no clarification on what sort of claim they're referring to. They're really a nuisance.

Received a missed call on my mobile earlier today. Decided to ring the number back using my landline, but it just kept telling me that the line was engaged. The message was from BT, reassuring me that the call wouldn’t cost me anything - fingers crossed that's true, especially after seeing what others have said!

I’ve had the same experience, it’s utterly infuriating! MPs ought to do something about these nuisances. The phone just rings and, upon picking up, they disconnect. There's no way I'm returning the call! By the way, what exactly is the ICO?

I've reached out to this firm multiple times requesting them to take my number out of their records, but they just keep hanging up. I'd like to propose, as I've just done myself, that if anyone receives a call from these chaps, they should lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), just like I did. I've been bombarded with incessant calls from that number, as well as a few others-like 08434103650, 07881286329, 01512441470, 01512441554, and 08434103535. They ring me at all hours, both day and night, sometimes multiple times a day! To be honest, I simply don’t pick up as I don’t recognise any of these digits. It’s a right nuisance, and I've reached my limit with these persistent interruptions! Curiously, this seems to have started since I got my new Samsung Galaxy Android phone. I’m wondering if it’s a glitch with Android devices in particular, or if everyone’s experiencing this hassle, regardless of their make?

A huge thank you to 'YesI'ddoitagain' for your fantastic tip! I've now saved the PPI scam contact on my mobile for this particular number. I've been moaning about how we can't block pesky numbers on our phones, yet this is an absolutely clever workaround. From now on, I’ll be reporting any numbers that seem suspicious! You’ve really opened my eyes, bless you! The idea simply didn’t cross my mind before! :0D
