Got a call from a man around middle age, sounding a lot like the description above, saying one of their independent financial advisers might be able to assist with any worries I have. I mentioned that since they’re working in a regulated sector, I was worried they hadn’t bothered to follow the rules about the TPS. That pretty much killed their trustworthiness for me, so I said I wasn’t interested in dealing with them.

Just had a call from someone at Turnkey Events trying to push a 'special event' to get me to share my financial details, even though my number's on the TPS list. I’m not about to trust any financial advice from a random cold caller, especially when I’ve learnt the hard way that even people I trust can get it wrong. This bloke didn’t help his case one bit - the moment I said I wasn’t interested, he just hung up on me. Sounds like a proper dodgy operation to me.

I've got yet another call from these lot, not a word spoken, even though I'm on the telephone preference list. Proper frustrating, especially since it was right in the middle of a crucial work meeting. Seriously, can't anyone put a stop to these idiots?

I received a call from this number at precisely 12:37 in the afternoon on the 3rd of March, 2017. It was rather peculiar, as there was nothing but silence on the line. I waited for a minute or two, expecting some sort of response, but eventually, the caller ended the call without uttering a word. Quite the strange experience!

Received a call from a supposed representative of Turnkey Events on a number registered with the Telephone Preference Service. They were peddling what they called a 'special event' related to personal finance. It seems rather dubious, as I suspect it’s just a ploy for some slick salesperson to rope you in and eventually get you to commit to their preferred money-making scheme, reminiscent of those timeshare scams from back in the day. Stay vigilant!

Got another ring from Turnkey Events this time, even though my number is on the TPS list. They were trying to sell this event that supposedly offers personal financial advice. Honestly, I don't trust any financial adviser unless they come recommended by folks I actually know, and even then I’m wary. So, getting a random cold call pushing some deal from people I’ve never heard of? No thanks. To top it off, when I told the bloke I wasn’t interested, he just hung up straight away - pretty clear they’re up to no good.

Got a call from this number around 1.50 this afternoon. A woman said she was getting in touch for 'Turnkey Events' and actually mentioned me by name, inviting me to some sort of investment seminar. When I questioned where she got my details from, she told me I'd have to speak to their 'head office' and then just hung up on me. I’m signed up with the TPS, so I’ll be reporting this one to them.

Around 3pm today, I got a call from a polite woman asking for Mrs T. I told her she’s been gone for five years. She said sorry and ended the call. It’s so frustrating and honestly quite upsetting, especially when I’m caring for my seriously ill dad at home. If HMRC can’t even sort out letters to my mum, what chance do we have?

On 8th February 2017 at about 2.36pm I got a call from 08433811033. They were asking for a Mr xx, but the name and gender they mentioned were totally wrong. The caller said they found my number on a list of folks interested in investing. Obviously, they had no clue and they just hung up when I said I doubted Mr xx would want anything to do with it. Even though I’m registered with TPS and my number’s ex-directory, I still get these annoying calls nearly every day.

I got a call from a woman claiming to be from Turnkey Events, using my full name and trying to set up a free financial review. When I asked where they got my number from, she said sorry if I was on the TPS list but wouldn’t say where they found my details and then just hung up. The Turnkey Events website looks fake - no contact address and no real person named anywhere. From what she said and how she sounded, it seems like it’s either a pushy timeshare or some sort of property investment scam. Honestly, the whole thing is dodgy and I wouldn’t get involved with them at all.

some guy phoned me from what he said was an events company called 26th jan, around 7:16pm. he told me the line was bad, but it sounded fine on my end. he said he’d call again later. he knew my name which was a bit odd, made me think he was just seeing if i was in.

When I told them I wasn’t looking to invest or buy anything, the bloke snapped back like they weren’t selling stuff, or something. Honestly, the attitude was just nasty and uncalled for!
