Got a call saying it was from BT about an internet issue, but I’m not even a BT customer so it felt a bit daft. Really strange situation. I checked my phone bill - my only active line is for an alarm system - and noticed two calls lasting about an hour and a half each in the past half year, both costing me £11.44. So I gave that number a ring and they did a line test on my internet. Right after, the internet light on my router went red, which was a bit worrying. Then, an automated message came on, saying the line test was done. I got in touch with TalkTalk afterwards and told them what happened. They then ran a speed test on my connection to see if anything got affected.
