I rang Champneys' booking line, which is supposedly a free 03432 101939, and picked option 1. They didn’t mention at all that I’d be redirected to a premium rate number or how much it would cost. I was stuck on hold for like 15 minutes and got no response. Ended up getting charged nearly £10! This is shocking, how is stuff like this even legal?

I called up to ask a question and ended up being charged £8.12! It was champney’s enquiry line, and honestly, there was no heads-up about the cost when I rang. Just another way of making money, it seems.

I tried booking with Champneys over the phone and it was a total rip-off! They charged me £12 just for calling to book. Definitely better to just use their website instead.

I tried calling the Champneys booking number and it was such a joke, took ages just waiting and they charged me a fortune for the call. Their rates aren’t cheap at all, you’d think they’d sort something better so you’re not stuck on hold for so long!

I've only just realised that this number has been billing my account for the last two years despite not having made a single call! What's worse is that EE is seemingly helpless to assist since they can't block 08 numbers. Absolutely livid about the whole situation!
