Don't bother replying to this phone number. My missus got a message from it, asking if we’d just spent £300 at Argos. Odd thing is, she’s actually employed at Santander’s main office and immediately got in touch with their fraud team. Turns out, it’s a scam aiming to nab your bank info. Santander have now added this number to their fraud watchlist and are looking into it. Stay well clear!

Got a message from this number saying I'd been charged £2301.32 for something from Checkatrade[###]. Told me to ring if I didn’t approve it. Seemed fishy since Checkatrade isn’t a shop, just a place that rates builders and tradespeople. Don’t call that number! Instead, have a look at your bank app or contact Santander directly through their official contacts.

It was pretty creepy, they seemed to know loads about me and then started asking for my online password. I just shut it down and stopped talking right there.

Today I got a call too about some £2301.32 payment linked to checkatrade. It’s the same deal someone else has mentioned. If I track those lot down, I’m gonna make sure they regret it.

Just got a text from this number saying it was Santander, asking if I'd approved a £2700 payment from my account to check a trade or something. Bit strange since my account isn’t even active and there’s no money in it. Smells like a scam to me. Tried calling back but all I got was some tunes playing, so I hung up and decided not to bother calling them again!

I just received a message claiming to be from Santander asking about a payment of £2301.32 to Checkatrade. A couple of weeks ago I got tricked by the same thing, especially since the number popped up in my bank messages and I use Santander too. Turns out the number's actually a premium line. Definitely don’t ring it back!
