Been with O2 for yonks now and just got myself an iPhone5 about five days ago. Yesterday, this number rings me up, saying they're from the Carphone Warehouse or somewhere similar, and that they only deal with O2 contracts. The bloke just wanted me to confirm my name and the first line of my address. He was telling me I might be getting a free phone to keep me on board with O2. I told him I've just signed up to a new contract with O2 and wasn’t interested in anything else. I know the rule - if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Still, I decided to humour him and gave him the details he asked for. If this turns out legit and I get a free phone, great. If not, and it's a scam, I'll pop back on here and let everyone know. They won’t catch me out that easily, not a chance!
