Beware of being ripped off! I dialled BT's complaints number and found myself being charged 20 pence per minute, even from my home phone. Just a heads up!

I'm absolutely fed up with these incessant calls, which have now escalated to downright outrageous levels. Just this morning, at an ungodly hour of 3 am, I received a call that was completely silent and, of course, it jolted me from my slumber. As someone in my golden years, a good night's rest is vital for me. I've tried to lodge a complaint, but it was just an automated service - very frustrating! When I called 1471 to check the number, all I got back was a vague reference to it being an international call, with no specifics available. Surely, in this day and age, there must be better ways to tackle these intrusive calls? Given that I rely on BT for my landline, mobile, and internet, I believe it's well past time for some effective measures to be implemented.
