I got a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft, saying my computer was being hacked. They asked if I was near my computer, and when I said no, they told me to turn it on so they could “show” me what was going on. I told them straight up that I knew it was a scam, that the call was being recorded, and I was going to report them. The person just told me to go to hell.
