Got a voicemail on my PC from someone saying they were with Windows Security. Totally suspicious, so I'd say don’t bother calling back.

Avoid calling this number at all costs. Some bloke claimed to be from Microsoft and warned me not to turn off my PC, saying it would wipe all my files. When I asked if he was scamming me, he hung up immediately. It's obviously a fraud.

Got a call from this number with creepy audio saying “Don’t turn off your pc!” So we hit the power button hard for like 10 seconds to force it off, then switched it back on again. Did a full scan on Windows Defender first, then installed Malwarebytes and ran that as well. Definitely avoid calling back - total scam alert!

Somebody rang me saying they were from Windows Security, but I reckon it was a total scam. Please watch out, don’t trust them!

Without a doubt, a total scam. Caught them red-handed trying to trick my elderly dad, saying they were from Windows Defender.
