They rang me and wouldn’t say what it was about until I gave them my name, date of birth and address. Then they claimed I owed £4,000 for an American Express card, but I’ve never even had one. When I checked my credit report, they’d made a hard search and added it as a debt collection enquiry, which has really hurt my credit just as we’re trying to buy a house. Their English was pretty poor too, which should’ve made me more wary. My advice: don’t answer if they call, they’re definitely scammers!

Got called 5 times in the same day. One of the times they started shouting at me. The rest of the calls they followed a script but quickly ended the call when I asked why they needed my info. This number rings me like 8 times daily. It just rings and then cuts off as soon as I pick up, so I only get the ringing sound. It’s really irritating cause I’ve no clue who they are, and I’m not risking ringing back in case it’s some international premium rate scam, which could end up costing me £9+ a minute. This number rings me up around six times daily on both my landline and mobile. Whenever I pick up, there's nothing but silence and a dial tone. They start calling as early as 7 in the morning and carry on until about 9.30 at night, yet never leave any message on my ansaphone. If they don't identify themselves soon, I'm gonna have to block the number. It's getting really annoying and feels like harassment.

Seems like they’re more into messing about to prove they called rather than actually wanting to talk. No clue who it is, but I'm getting really annoyed with the daily hassle. I received a call from this number, and when I picked up, they simply disconnected. Turns out it's American Express. They've provided me with a dodgy credit card that lacks a valid Bilateral Contract. If they think I’m just going to sit back and accept this nonsense, they’ve got another thing coming! This particular number seems to call me every few weeks without fail, yet they never bother to leave a message or follow up with a note for a return call. I have an American Express account and honestly, I find their approach rather unprofessional given how they utilise this contact method. On the rare occasions I've managed to speak with them, the communication has been quite baffling as I struggled to comprehend the person on the line, and it appeared they had trouble making sense of what I was saying too. It’s quite frustrating, really.
