My daughter’s account has been hit with a recurring charge of £4.50 each month, and to be honest, I’m completely befuddled as to why. Considering she’s just 12, I would assume that some sort of parental approval was necessary. Now the real struggle is figuring out how to get in touch with someone to cancel these mysterious charges. It's rather frustrating, to say the least!

I've noticed that cash seems to vanish from my mobile whenever I top up via pay-as-you-go. It's baffling!

I recently received a message claiming that I had won a complimentary ringtone and was prompted to provide my mobile number. After submitting my details, I received a code to enter, but then got bombarded with three additional texts stating I was now part of the Polytone Club, which supposedly cost me 6 credits! To top it off, I haven’t even received the ringtone I was promised. It’s ludicrous that they expect me to be a member when I never signed up for anything in the first place. How on earth can they just take my credits without any prior notice? I’m absolutely fuming and think it’s quite scandalous that these companies are allowed to pull such stunts on unsuspecting individuals!

Our daughter has received calls from this number too. O2 has told us that one of their mates must have passed on his contact details-it's utterly ridiculous! This feels like a massive scam orchestrated by the polytone calling group. We rang the recorded number to opt out, but we’re not getting our hopes up. We've even asked O2 for a new SIM card, as we reckon this nonsense will carry on. The number to ring is 08082341402; just enter your mobile, and it should opt you out automatically. Good luck to anyone trying to reclaim their money!

In a rather foolish move, we decided to grab a free ringtone for our mobile, and then we received a text informing us it would set us back £9 for the first month and subsequent charges thereafter. However, every time we attempt to call the number provided in the message, we simply cannot get through. Very frustrating, to say the least!

All our cash vanished along with our phone, as we had loaded the funds for payment upfront.

We found ourselves in a similar situation and ended up being billed. So, we reached out to "May Chen" at [email protected] and let them know we wouldn't be paying and asked them to cease all text messages. To our surprise, they replied, confirming they'd halt the communications. We've since consulted with Vodafone, and they're kindly refunding the amount taken, which we think is rather commendable of them. Moving forward, we’re definitely steering clear of anything that claims to be free, and if any issues arise, we'll be heading straight to Vodafone for assistance.

Completely akin to the others I've encountered. Feeling thoroughly fleeced for quite a bit of cash. Despite not downloading a single item, these chaps persist in siphoning funds from my account. I've tried sending 'STOP' and even utilised the provided email, yet it seems to have been for naught. I'm still contemplating reaching out to Orange to resolve this mess. This certainly isn't going to end here - we simply can't tolerate financial losses like this! Polytones (or Funmobile, or whatever moniker you fancy) - stop robbing the public, will you?!

We went through the same process and encountered all the same issues-attempting to cancel via SMS was a complete flop. We received the exact same message each time, citing that the item code from our order was incorrect. We tried sending it three times only to be met with the same frustrating response. I even rang the customer support number, where the automated message instructed us to press 1 to proceed with the cancellation. We did as advised, expecting an SMS within a day to confirm everything, but here we are, still waiting. It’s quite disappointing, really; I feel people should not be misled like this, especially when they market it as a **FREE** offer.

We’ve encountered a rather similar predicament and after discussing the matter with T-Mobile, we were informed that they’re unable to assist us in this situation. We tried calling their number, 08082341402, yet it seems nobody bothered to pick up. We’re seriously considering pursuing legal action against them, as we’d like to ensure they’re held accountable and can’t continue their dubious practices. Is there any avenue for lodging a formal complaint that might compel them to reimburse us? We’re leaving no stone unturned in our quest for a refund. It’s not merely about the money; it’s the unscrupulous manner in which this company has been profiting that’s truly concerning.

We experienced a similar issue; a message popped up on Facebook claiming the service was complimentary. Yet, we noticed £9 deducted from our credit. Is there a way to retrieve that amount? They assured us the subscription was terminated, but it seems that’s not the case. I’m planning to give Orange a call to sort this out.

I've finally tracked down a number that should help address these issues. They mentioned that if one’s child was a minor, a refund is indeed possible. We're supposed to receive some news within a day, so here’s hoping for the best! For anyone interested, the number to call is 01483305530.

I recently received an email proclaiming that I’d won a "FREE Ringtone!" from funmobileuk.com. The instructions directed me to send an SMS with "OK" to 88838, and before I knew it, £6 had vanished from my O2 balance! This is absolutely unacceptable-I'm furious and demand an immediate refund!

We've been getting constant calls from the number 08082341402 on our mobile phones. We've been told to call back for free using our landline to stop these nuisance calls, but they keep coming through and eating into our credit. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Like many before me, I’ve found it utterly impossible to terminate this service. The 0808 number seems to be a black hole-no way to reach them! We've unfortunately lost several folks to this so-called "service." I'm beginning to think it's all a crafty scam.

What a right pickle! Our ten-year-old lad received a text boasting about a free tone, and naturally, he thought it sounded brilliant - but he had no clue what it entailed, just that it was free as a bird! Next thing we know, all of his £10 credit mysteriously vanished! We've tried sending texts for help, but to no avail. We even rang the number 0808 234 1402, but that was a dead end too! I’m at my wits’ end here. Should we just get him a new SIM? I rang O2 and all they could tell me was that they might be able to block those shady numbers, but there’s a chance others could still slip through the cracks. What on earth are we meant to do now?

I've been hit with a staggering £35 from these pesky text messages, all because I pay for our daughter's T-Mobile plan. It completely slipped past me until I saw the e-bill, as the numbers behind these messages weren’t even visible on her phone! It's absolutely scandalous that these shady characters seem to have free reign over this type of thing. Why is it that no one can figure out a way to reclaim this money?

We opted out several weeks back, as we certainly never asked for this in the first instance. We’ve been hit with quite a hefty charge, and we’d appreciate it if you could arrange a refund for us at your earliest convenience. Thank you.
