Got a random message claiming to be from Aviva about Equity Release, with this number to ring them. They also sent a 5-digit number to text if I wanted to opt out of marketing, which I did, but now I've been hit with a 15p charge for texting some 'premium info number'. I do have car insurance with Aviva so at first I thought it was legit, but I couldn’t find that 0808 number anywhere on their official website. Seems odd that Aviva would use a premium rate number just to unsubscribe from their marketing messages.
