they kept ringing me non stop and left loads of voicemails with nothing but heavy breathing like theyd been sprinting or something. all the calls stopped after i asked who it was but they never bothered replying to my text.

Octopus Energy debt team seem to have issues with their phone system cos loads of their calls come through silent, which can feel a bit weird. However, it’s just a problem with the calls, the company itself is legit.

This number rang me yesterday. Dont give them your bank info, it isnt Octopus. I phoned Octopus directly and asked if they called me yesterday, they said no. I even emailed them saying I pay on May 28th, so why would they ring me about payment? Never share your card details over the phone. My DD goes out on May 28th 2021 for sure. Looks like a scam to me.

Yeah, it was Octopus Energy. I wasn’t totally sure so I didn’t say much to the person who called, but later I emailed someone at Octopus and they said it was legit and that the caller had updated my records.

Got a call from a woman with a Scottish accent saying she was from Octopus Energy. She wanted my personal info right away before explaining why she was calling. I picked up the phone and was immediately hit with loads of questions about my personal info like my name, address, and birthdate, but they wouldn’t say who they were first. I wasn’t comfortable giving anything until I knew who I was talking to. They said they were from Octopus Energy and wanted to arrange a direct debit to collect some debt, but I don’t owe anything and already have a direct debit with them. When I checked with Octopus Energy, they said it’s a scam!

I said I’d handle it online but they just kept ringing. I phoned Octopus Energy myself and they confirmed it’s a scam, not their team! Watch out and don’t get caught out. Never give out personal details, always call Octopus Energy directly if you get calls like these. Proper scammers!

Probably some annoying call. I said hello, could hear noises in the back but no one was really speaking to me. Happened to me two times today and I had a missed call from the same number yesterday. Some folks mention it's Octopus Energy but I’m not a customer with them.

Somebody phoned saying they were from Octopus Energy, but I was busy and asked them to ring back in about 10 minutes. They never did though. I phoned Octopus myself later on the number on their site to check what was going on, but they said they hadn’t made any calls to me. The calls keep coming every day now, so I’ve blocked the number just to be safe.

this number rang me and a really young girl with a terrible accent said she was from octopus energy. i rang 08081641088 to check if it was legit. octopus told me the number belongs to some third party firm. they apparently contact folks with debts. the strange part is i already made a payment plan with octopus for my debts, but this third party seemed unaware of it.
