This number belongs to CompactITservices.com, a company that allegedly doesn't insert annoying pop-ups on your device, which then prompt users to call for assistance with unlocking their computers. They charge an eye-watering £129.99 for their so-called 'services' - a complete scam aimed at my elderly mother. I had to ring them myself and insist they cancel everything, given that I handle all her tech needs and hold Power of Attorney. They uninstalled all the anti-virus and anti-malware software I had installed and replaced it with their own dubious version! They promised to send an email within five minutes confirming the cancellation, but now, my mother is only set to receive a mere £39.99 back from the funds she “approved.” I've reached out to [email protected] and intend to ring them repeatedly until I hear back! They also have a customer service line at 1-888-454-3556. The chap who answered had a bit of an accent that I couldn't quite place, but he was easier to understand than many. He sounded sympathetic to my frustrations but kept insisting they don't create pop-ups. I pressed him on how my mother managed to acquire their number, if not from a pop-up, but he just kept dodging the question!
