I got this automated call with a voice saying something like ‘your exiting computer company’ and they told me they’d take £399 from my bank unless I hit 1 or rang a number they gave me. Quite dodgy if you ask me.

Beware of this scam artist attempting to fish for your banking info! They're threatening that your card will be hit with a charge of £299.00 unless you ring them up to cancel. When I pressed them about the service they provide, they waffled on about 'computer and card protection services’ - absolute nonsense if you ask me! It's best to block this number and ensure they don’t have any of your card details. I’d also recommend notifying your bank about this fraudulent operation, just to be safe. I've already flagged the number with BT.

they just keep ringing even after ive blocked them and asked them to stop! luckily, once blocked my phone stays silent if they try, but im curious - what kind of signal do they get on their end when blocked? anybody got a clue?

Got a ring from this number out of the blue, wasn't waiting for anyone. Tried to ring it back but the line just wouldn’t go through. Not sure if it's some dodgy spam or just a call centre messing about?
