I got this automated call with a voice saying something like ‘your exiting computer company’ and they told me they’d take £399 from my bank unless I hit 1 or rang a number they gave me. Quite dodgy if you ask me.

A complete scammer trying to get your bank info, claiming they’ll charge you £299 unless you ring back to cancel. When I asked what exactly they offer, they fumbled and said something about card and computer security services - total rubbish! Just block the number and double-check your card hasn’t been compromised. Definitely worth letting your bank know about this dodgy call. I've also reported the number to my phone provider, BT.

they just keep ringing even after ive blocked them and asked them to stop! luckily, once blocked my phone stays silent if they try, but im curious - what kind of signal do they get on their end when blocked? anybody got a clue?

Got a ring from this number out of the blue, wasn't waiting for anyone. Tried to ring it back but the line just wouldn’t go through. Not sure if it's some dodgy spam or just a call centre messing about?
