Just got a voicemail from 0808 168 4635 sayin something like, "This is a recorded message from Coinbase. We've spotted a strange login right now near Norwich. If that's not you, hit one to speak with someone." If you weren’t the one trying to log in, they want you to press one to talk to a live person. Bit fishy if you ask me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Coinbase. At first, it was an automated voice. Since I actually have an account with Coinbase, I pressed 1 and got through to a bloke with a British accent. I asked him to email me some sort of confirmation, which he did, but the email address finished with .co.uk. Real Coinbase emails always come from “coinbase.com”, so something was definitely off.

Got a call from this 'Coinbase' thing, which I've never come across before. It was some robot voice telling me to 'press 1 to verify account activity.' Sounds like a total scam to me. I just put the number straight on block.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Coinbase, and it was definitely a scam. They tried to get me to confirm or reject some so-called ‘case’ while I was talking to them. When I mentioned I wanted to shut my account, they warned against it because they said I had funds in there. I told them outright I had nothing in my Coinbase account, and then they started insulting me, calling me broke! Absolutely ridiculous. Stay well clear of these people. Or if you’re like me, waste their time by keeping the call going for half an hour while they go round and round.

35351571608 kept calling me pretending they worked for Coinbase in Dublin. They told me there was cash in a crypto wallet linked to my name that some shady Trade Fx scammers were hiding to avoid the authorities. At first, they said it was about $20,000, but then it jumped up to nearly $38,000. They sounded pretty legit. They said I needed to put down 8% in ethereum to unlock the transfer, but there would be no fees since I was dealing with a government agency. Claimed to be financial regulators working for Coinbase. They gave an address too: 70 Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, Dublin 2, D02 R296 Ireland. Also, quoted an FCA number: 900635. Felt a bit dodgy if you ask me.

Watch out for calls from 08081684635 - these folks are total scammers preying on those who’ve already been ripped off in bitcoin schemes. They’ll claim they’ve got your lost funds and say they’ll refund your bitcoin wallet, but only if you pay them 8 to 10 percent upfront. That usually means coughing up over 50 grand, so you’re looking at around 6K CAD just to get started. They sound super convincing, but honestly it’s best to just ignore the calls. If you do pick up, ask them to send a photo of their driver’s licence held up to their face, clearly visible. Almost always, they’ll either hang up or claim their rules forbid sharing personal info. I stood my ground, told them no ID no deal, and said I’d report them to INTERPOL. I even checked with Coinbase in New York and they confirmed it’s a scam - definitely don’t get involved with these crooks.
