Just got an email urging me to call the number 0808 1645334 about a so-called PayPal transaction. Let me tell you, it’s an absolute con! They were trying to get me to input a website on my laptop, clearly aiming to gain access and scam me out of my money. I had a hunch from the get-go that these were dodgy characters from India or Pakistan. Steer clear of this number, folks, or you might find yourself falling for their tricks and losing your hard-earned cash!

This one takes the cake. They thanked me for purchasing Bitcoin through my Paypal and for being a loyal customer. I’ve never even used their services before, so I had a good chuckle, especially when I noticed a silly grammar slip-up (It said “Thank you for buy Bitcoin Cryptocurrency”). Part of me wanted to ring them back just to mess about, but honestly, I’ve got better stuff to be getting on with.

Supposedly Amazon. I'm getting loads of calls daily from this number, maybe 10-12. Every time they ring, they claim I've been scammed and bought something like a LED TV or some Nike shoes. The item changes every call. I’ve started just saying yeah, I bought them and I’m pleased with it - not much they can argue with then! Really worrying, especially if they target someone more trusting or vulnerable.

These people are total frauds. They claim to be from Amazon, PayPal, eBay, or similar and say there’s been a big purchase on your account. They’ll try to get you to confirm your info like your name, address, email and so on. Then they send you a one-time code by text. If you share that code, they basically get full control of your phone through some vpn trick and can grab all your passwords and personal info. Watch out for this scam!

I've been getting texts and calls from this number, with people saying they're from Amazon and that someone tried to buy an LED TV in Germany on my account. I knew right away it was dodgy, so I rang Amazon and they told me there was no unusual activity on my account and they never called me. They try to get you to give them an OTP number, which then lets them get into your Amazon account and any bank details linked to it. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY CODE OR ANSWER THEIR CALLS.

SCAM SCAM SCAM Definitely sounded like a call centre. Some guy named Tariq called me telling me there was weird stuff going on with my Amazon account. He said Mr. Robinson tried buying a £2k LED TV or something. Luckily, I found this page and realised it was a total SCAM.

I received a total of four phone calls within two days from individuals who claimed to need confirmation for an Amazon purchase. They informed me about the supposed purchase of a Canon camera worth £2,499 and requested my email address for confirmation purposes. I cheekily replied that they could go ahead and let the joyous scammer enjoy their "Cannon" camera. Subsequent calls then revolved around an LCD TV costing a similar amount, to which I responded in the same dismissive manner. The caller did not seem pleased by my response. The initial caller was identified as a woman, whereas the second caller was a man.

I just had a shocking experience with these scammers! They withdrew £1500 from my account without permission, and when I requested a refund, they assured me they'd sort it. I actually phoned them up. Told the bloke he owed a payment for Simon & Garfunkel of £210.69. Asked him to give me his email so I could double-check the payment. He said it wasn’t him, so I asked for his email again to cancel the payment. Then he said that wasn’t possible because he worked for PayPal. I told him he was lying since he wasn’t on the staff list. Asked for his email once more to check his job, and he just hung up. Haven't had any calls from them since. Hope this is useful.

Got a scam call pretending to be Paypal, linked to some firm named Systima Technologies LTD UK. They say they noticed suspicious stuff on your account, then send a text from 62226 with a "security code" which they ask you to say out loud on the call. After that, they try to get your bank card info (seem to target HSBC a lot) and make you approve a payment to Systima. BE CAREFUL!

I've had enough of these dodgy calls, so I've gone ahead and blocked the number. They act like they're from Amazon or PayPal, but it's all just a ruse. Best advice? Hang up immediately and steer clear of any chit-chat with them!

This is a proper PayPal scam. I don’t get how PayPal haven’t done anything about this yet. I called the number and they actually said “PayPal, how can I help you?” then they spelled out my email as F u c k o f f @ and just ended the call. Ridiculous.

This guy with a thick Indian accent phoned me claiming he was from PayPal and said someone had used my account and spent £120. I instantly knew it was a scam so I just hung up. I looked at my PayPal account online afterwards and it showed nothing wrong. PayPal never ring you like this or ask for your info. Watch out for these dodgy scammers!

Someone pretending to be from PayPal called me. When I asked for some kind of verification, the bloke got really angry and started yelling, saying I was acting like a kid. I ended up really upset and crying because I wouldn’t give him the CCV number from my new debit card, which he claimed was needed to sort out some refunds. They made it seem like the messages were legit from my bank through PayPal to activate the refund, but in reality, they were just after more money from me.
