So, I had some trouble with Halifax bank and decided to call them. They connected me to a guy who then told me to ring back on 08081450926. He said it’s a free call and won’t use up my mobile credit. From my experience, this number isn’t dodgy at all, it’s totally legit and safe.

Got a call from someone saying they were ringing on behalf of Halifax. Chatted to the bank and they told me that number isn’t theirs at all. Definitely a scammer.

Some bloke called saying he worked for visa verification and needed to confirm three payments on my card. But when he couldn't give me the account number, I guessed he was dodgy and told him as much. Then he just dropped the call.
