Got a genuine call from someone at Lloyds Group about a service. She was really friendly. I didn’t have to share any info since they already had my details. If you’re not keen, just ring them back and say no thanks, or they’ll keep ringing you.

Got one of these calls too, the person said they were from Lloyds bank and a relationship advisor. I asked them to email me info and I did get an email but it looked really dodgy, like it was made quickly and not proper at all (the Privacy Policy link gave a 'Page Not Found 404' error for instance). I checked with Lloyds Fraud dept and they told me to avoid the meeting, which I did.

Even if you end the call, they might keep the line active and make it seem like you’re ringing your bank yourself by playing fake dialling sounds. Today, I got a call from this number, with the caller saying he was from Lloyds Bank. He claimed he was ringing after a letter about a new relationship manager service and introduced himself as my new relationship manager. The voice sounded Nigerian. He then asked if I wanted to answer some security questions regarding my account, supposedly to see if he could offer better rates or something. Naturally, I refused. Just to be sure, I called Lloyds myself. At first, they said yes, there have been letter campaigns about enhanced services recently. But when I asked them to confirm the caller’s number, they admitted that this was definitely not Lloyds. They only ever ring from 0800 numbers, and they never ask for security details or try to discuss services over the phone. All legit calls simply encourage you to make an appointment. So, watch out for these dodgy calls!

I got a call from this number as well, and the person said they were from Lloyds Bank. I wasn’t too sure about it, so I rang Lloyds Bank back using a separate number from another phone. Turns out, it really is a legit number, and the call did come from Lloyds Bank’s sales department in Glasgow. Just thought I’d share, but definitely double check if you’re unsure!
