What a shambles! It turns out that my son's phone number was misused by someone to make a purchase from the Microsoft store. They opted for the mobile billing option to settle the payment, which resulted in an astonishingly large bill landing on my lap today. I've had to deactivate the add-to-mobile feature, so that avenue is now closed off. O2 provided me with a number to contact regarding this issue, but when I called, the bloke on the other end abruptly hung up on me. What an absolute numpty!

I received a similar message myself. It claimed to be a courtesy notification from Boku, mentioning that I had apparently spent £31.98 this month. They provided this number for assistance. However, I reached out to O2 and confirmed that there were no charges on my account. I decided against calling the number as I worried it might lead to extra fees.

A chap on IMVU mentioned he could hook me up with some free credits, and, foolishly enough, I ended up sharing my phone number despite having a nagging suspicion it might be a con. This number then reached out, prodding me to verify some order or other. I’ve refrained from responding, as the whole situation seems rather fishy. They keep insisting that it’s them sorting the credits out for me and that I won’t incur any charges. However, I’m bound by a contract, so I’m playing it safe and keeping my distance from this dodgy business.

Yesterday, my sister experienced something quite peculiar that we brushed off initially. However, today it’s been on our minds and felt a bit odd in hindsight. We attempted to text "stop" to that number, but for some reason, it won’t go through. Quite baffling, really!

What a dodgy situation! I received a message from a mate on Facebook requesting a code, and they were really pushing for it. It didn’t seem like something they’d typically do, so I asked them to give me a ring. They didn’t take me up on it, so I tried to contact them through Messenger, but the call was constantly dropping. Now, I’m unable to respond to the chat at all. Just a heads-up to everyone - this is definitely a scam! Stay alert!

I've just received a message that was strikingly similar, claiming I had a Facebook request or something along those lines. Ugh, it's so infuriating! Can't stand these pesky individuals.

My wife just experienced a similar situation! She received a text from a so-called friend, but thankfully she acted swiftly and replied with “stop” before any money was deducted from our account. However, we're still on edge, thinking that funds might somehow vanish later on. We're unsure about whether to call the number that was shown. Has anyone else managed to resolve a situation like this?

I've just experienced precisely the same situation. These individuals really get on my nerves!

I just had the most peculiar experience! A so-called mate dropped me a message on Facebook Messenger, and in the spirit of helpfulness, I responded. They then requested some kind of code, which I foolishly provided. Fast forward a bit, and now I've got this notification saying I've just forked out £30 for iTunes vouchers! To my horror, I've fallen victim to a scam! It turns out that initial message on Messenger wasn't from my friend at all, but a complete sham. The dodgy text was sent to me from the number 78660. How frustrating!

Beware of this dodgy number! Recently, a friend's Facebook account got compromised, and I mistakenly accepted a friend request thinking she was in a bit of a pickle. The impersonator then asked for my phone number, claiming she needed it to stay in touch. I reluctantly provided it, but soon I started to feel something was rather off-her messages felt completely out of character. One message warned me to expect a code via text and instructed me to share it with them. The number was the same one I had been messaging. Sensing the red flags and realising it was a scam, I rang the number to verify, only to discover it's a bogus O2 line. Please, for your own safety, do not call this number. I've since wiped all related information.

I received a rather suspicious message at 2 am, and to be frank, I can't recall ever signing up for anything like that. It certainly feels like a scam, and the website looks pretty dodgy to me. Just a heads up: "You’re now subscribed to Spotify Premium at a monthly cost of £9.99 through Spotify. Need to cancel or require assistance? Check out www.boku.com/spotify/help.” Seems a bit off, doesn’t it?

I've just noticed that £9.99 has been taken from my account for a Spotify subscription I wasn’t aware of. Is there any way I can reclaim this amount? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

I've noticed a deduction of £36 from my account without any explanation, and I'm keen to get my cash returned. O2 should never have processed that payment to them in the first place!

After speaking with my mobile network, O2, they recommended that I get in touch with this particular number due to an unexpected charge for Spotify Premium-despite having cancelled my subscription right after the free trial.

It turns out this number belongs to Boku, a company that deals with mobile billing and is completely legitimate. However, they aren’t able to process refunds for Spotify. If you're seeking a refund from Spotify, your best bet is to reach out to their customer support via email.

It seems my number has been barred by Boku from making purchases on the PlayStation Network. Any idea why that might be?

I just had a run-in with this number associated with Boku. I rang them up to find out why my mobile balance had been debited twice for a charge of £9.99. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the call didn’t cost me a penny, and the chap on the other end was quite accommodating. They've now put a block on my number and sent me a text confirming that no further deductions will occur. They've also dropped me an email outlining the steps I need to follow to get my money back via Spotify. I'm sharing this in the hope it assists anyone else who's found themselves facing similar charges with Spotify. If you're in the same boat as I was, don't hesitate to give them a ring - I was a bit hesitant to do so, but it turned out just fine. Let’s see how quickly they sort out my refund!

Could anyone shed some light on who this might be? I’m rather baffled as to why I keep getting calls from these individuals.

I’ve just received a rather concerning message expressing gratitude for my Spotify Premium subscription after I added £10 to my balance. What’s puzzling is that the entire amount was swiftly deducted the moment my account was topped up!

Is there anybody out there who can shed some light on this number that's been persistently messaging me at the crack of dawn, like, 5 am? It’s driving me absolutely bonkers! I attempted to give it a ring, but the response was all about something called Boku, which has me totally baffled. Can someone explain what on earth Boku is? Just the other day, I received a text suggesting I reply with ‘STOP’ to opt out or something. But honestly, what am I even opting out of? I'm completely clueless, and it feels a bit dodgy to me!

I've been hit with a charge exceeding £10 for a Spotify service I’m not even tapping into! It’s utterly baffling! How do I put a stop to this madness? I’ve already rung them up, and they assured me the charges would cease, but nope, it’s still coming out of my pocket, and they’ve slapped me with even more fees!

I keep getting messages from this number stating that I've subscribed to Spotify for £9.99, which I don’t even have. They've also mentioned that I've supposedly spent £6.00 for some entry on BigWin. These messages keep coming in around 11 PM and, rather annoyingly, they’re being tacked onto my phone bill despite the fact that I'm not using any of those services at all. Quite frustrating!
