What a shambles! It turns out that my son's phone number was misused by someone to make a purchase from the Microsoft store. They opted for the mobile billing option to settle the payment, which resulted in an astonishingly large bill landing on my lap today. I've had to deactivate the add-to-mobile feature, so that avenue is now closed off. O2 provided me with a number to contact regarding this issue, but when I called, the bloke on the other end abruptly hung up on me. What an absolute numpty!

Got a similar message from them saying something about a Boku courtesy alert, mentioning I’d spent £31.98 this month. They gave a number for help or whatever. I rang up O2 to double check and they said no fees had been applied to my account. Didn’t bother calling that number though, figured it’d probably cost me.

So there was this person on IMVU claiming they'd hook me up with free credits, and I foolishly gave them my phone number. Deep down, I had a feeling it was a scam. After that, this number messaged me asking to confirm an order, but I didn’t reply. Now, the account is acting super sketchy, insisting they’re just sorting out the credits and that I won’t be billed. Problem is, I’ve got a contract, so there’s no way I’m risking it.

My sister got a call like this yesterday and we just ignored it at first. But today we were chatting and realised how odd the whole thing was. We even tried to text "stop" back to that number, but it wouldn’t go through at all. Strange!

Watch out, this was definitely a scam! A message came through with a code from someone on my Facebook friends list. They kept insisting I give them the code which seemed really odd. I asked them to ring me to check if it was really them but they never did. Tried ringing them on messenger but the call kept dropping. Now it won’t even let me reply to their messages. Seriously, be careful with this kind of thing!

Got the same call earlier, they said I had a Facebook request or something. So annoying. These people really get on my nerves!

My wife just got the same message from one of her mates. Luckily, nothing's been taken from her bank yet. She quickly replied telling them to stop, but we’re still worried they might try to withdraw something. We’re not sure if calling the number would be safe. Has anyone else had any luck dealing with this?

Just had this happen to me too, can't stand those people!

So, I got a message on Facebook messenger from someone who looked like a mate. I answered, and then they wanted a code, so I gave it to them. Later on, I got told that I’d apparently bought £30 worth of iTunes vouchers! Turns out, I got scammed! That message wasn’t really from my friend at all, just a fake profile. The text came through on number 78660. Proper dodgy!

Heads up, this number is definitely a scam. My mate’s Facebook got hacked and then I got a friend request from what looked like her, so I accepted it, thinking she was having trouble. The person messaged saying they lost my phone number and asked if I could send it so we could keep in touch, so I gave it to them. But then the way they messaged didn’t seem right at all, nothing like how my mate usually talks. They said I’d get a code sent to my phone via text and I needed to share it with them. The number was part of the message, so I got suspicious and called - turns out it’s not a real O2 number at all. Do not call back. I’ve deleted everything now.

Got this at like 2 in the morning and I honestly dont recall ever signing up for it. Seems pretty scammy to me and the site looks super sketchy. Just a heads up it says: You're signed up for Spotify Premium at £9.99 a month. Need to cancel or get help? Check www.boku.com/spotify/help. Be careful!

Got a message saying I've been billed £9.99 for Spotify. Anyone know how I can get a refund for this?

O2 charged me £36 out of nowhere and I want my cash back, they really shouldn’t have sent the payment over to them.

After O2 charged me for Spotify Premium despite me cancelling right after the free trial, they told me to ring this number. It belongs to a firm named Boku that deals with mobile billing. From what I was told, this line is legit and safe. That said, Boku can't actually process any refunds for Spotify subscriptions. If you’re wanting your money back from Spotify, you'll have to get in touch with their customer support directly via email.

This number belongs to Boku. I rang them back because I noticed two charges of £9.99 taken from my phone credit. The call didn’t cost anything and the chap I spoke to was quite understanding. They’ve since blocked my number and sent me a text confirming no further payments will be taken. Also, they emailed me instructions on how to claim a refund via Spotify. If you’ve been charged unexpectedly for Spotify, I’d recommend giving them a call. I was a bit sceptical about ringing at first, but it turned out fine. Fingers crossed the refund comes through quickly!

Could anyone shed some light on who this might be? I’m rather baffled as to why I keep getting calls from these individuals.

After adding £10 to my account, I got a message thanking me for buying Spotify Premium. The weird thing is, the full amount vanished right after I topped up.

Does anyone know who this number belongs to? It’s been blowing up my phone with texts at like 5 in the morning - so irritating! I rang it once but got some automated message about Boku or something? No idea what that's about. Then I got a text telling me to text STOP to unsubscribe, but unsubscribe from what exactly? I’ve got no clue and it all feels a bit sketchy and random honestly.

I've been getting charged more than £10 for a Spotify service I don't even use! Tried ringing them up and they promised to cancel the payments, but nothing changed and they just took even more money. How do I put an end to this?

This number has been texting me saying I owe £9.99 for Spotify, which I never use, and also £6 for some BigWin entry I didnt sign up for. The messages usually arrive around 11pm and they're charging my phone account even tho I dont have any of these services at all. Very annoying!
