Got this weird pop-up on my iPad saying there’s some kind of virus and telling me to ring a number. Total scam, obviously.

If you’re having trouble, try turning off your wifi then reopen Safari and shut all the tabs you’ve got open. If that doesn’t work, do a hard reboot by holding down the power and home buttons together for about 10 seconds. It might also help to clear out Safari’s cookies and browsing data from the settings. Make sure your device is running the newest firmware too.

Looks like a scam to me as well, but now it’s stuck on my screen and I can’t seem to get rid of it?

A weird pop-up showed up on my iPhone saying it’d been hacked and that I needed to unblock it. When I rang the number they gave, they started telling me I had to pay £100 a year to stop it happening again. Sounds like a total scam to me! I just ended the call straight away.
