I informed the individuals conducting the "Energy Consumer Survey" that they had dialed the wrong number, but they persisted with their conversation. In response, I requested their contact details so that I could report them to Ofcom/TPS. However, I was met with a dismissive remark stating that there is nothing I can do, followed by them abruptly ending the call. How unpleasant.

An infuriating caller, who lacks knowledge and manners, frequently rings at improper hours like 8.40pm, or other unsociable times. Upon answering the phone, this individual abruptly disconnects the call without any explanation or polite gesture.

I received a call from an unknown number and there was absolute silence when I answered. Despite being aware that someone was on the line, it took some time before I heard an Asian voice speaking in broken English, saying something completely random like "I'm phoning about the business." It was quite bizarre, especially considering that I, or anyone I know, don't have a business. I informed the caller about this, but there was no reply from the other end. Frustrated, I sternly requested to be removed from their database, and without saying anything further, they abruptly ended the call. Quite unsettling and peculiar, I must say. It's possible that this caller might even have perverse intentions. However, it begs the question - how did they manage to obtain my private number if it is supposedly unlisted? It's suspicious to think that this perverse caller could potentially be operating from within a call centre setting.
