I never got a phone call, but out of nowhere an email popped up saying they were going to take £245 from my bank every 3 years. I received an email that seemed rather dodgy, indicating a plan renewal charge of £254 for a three-year service I simply don’t understand or require. Hey, I got an email saying they were going to take £365 from my bank for a Microsoft subscription renewal. I rang the number they gave me in the email, but when I looked it up it turned out to be connected to some sort of scam. I’d recently made an online purchase and used a discount code, so not sure if that’s how they got in. Just to be safe, I’ve cancelled my card now.

Got a call from that number, same story, guy spoke with a strong Indian accent and already knew loads about me, even the answer to my security question. Then he asked me to confirm parts of my pin. Right after, I got a message from o2 saying my password was changed and my account was locked. When I rang o2, they told me it was some overseas third-party agency they hired for upselling contracts but apparently they've gone off the rails. Honestly, really let down by o2 - for such a huge company, this is just shocking.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent saying she was from O2, offering me a 30% discount on my bill. Felt dodgy right away, especially when she mentioned other people were getting 40% off 😁. She kept asking if I was keen to go ahead with the deal, then said she’d send me a 6-digit code by text and wanted me to call back with it. She tried to get the last four digits of my bank account or my O2 account number. I just ended the call. Pretty sure it’s a scam!!!

Just got a call from a woman with a strong Indian accent, shouting so loud I couldn’t get a word in. She kept going on about some "automatic invoice" I supposedly needed to pay, offering me a 30% discount. Whenever I tried to speak, she’d talk right over me like she was pushing me to accept whatever scam she was pushing. I’ve been using O2 from 2010, and honestly, never ran into any issues. I think their prices are fair, and it’s great that you can keep your phone contract separate from your airtime. Makes things a lot easier to manage.

I rang up to end my contract since the 24 months were nearly done. I explained I was switching to a SIM-only plan and cutting down loads on data. The rep gave me a great deal without hassling me about my budget and sorted everything quickly in about 5 minutes. Only thing is, I don’t like the upgrade options on the app - they’re way too expensive and not great at all, so I’d give it one star less for that.

I've gotta say, O2 is one of the best networks out there. I switched my wife from a SIM-only to a device plan, but when her new phone turned up, it was faulty. I gave O2 a ring and they sorted everything out without any hassle. They sent a replacement phone the very next day, so she could swap it quickly. Honestly, their service was spot on, I'd give them a solid 10/10!

I've had a great experience with the O2 shops in Worthing, Tooting, and Wandsworth. However, the bloke at the O2 store in Clapham Junction was a bit useless - he messed up and lost around 80 of my contacts, only saving about 6 in the end! Proper disappointed with that.

Hello 02, I’m an old disabled bloke who’s always complaining about stuff. Years back, I stumbled on smoke signals and then the miss code system - what a laugh! Things always seemed to mess up, like trying to start a fire with water or getting a shock from the miss code. But now I’ve come across 02 and it’s all good, proper reliable and helpful. Nice to have a service I can count on these days. Cheers!

So, I got a sim card for a laptop dongle for a mate who was stuck in hospital. I was trying to check the usage to top it up but it was a nightmare. When I phoned o2 customer support, the first person I got just didn’t get it. Even after explaining that the sim user didn’t own a phone, he kept insisting they needed to sign up with o2 to get a text code or something. I was getting proper frustrated, so I rang again. This time I spoke to Charlotte. I told her I was near breaking point, probably about to cry or yell, but she stayed calm and listened properly. She soon figured out the issue - turns out I’d bought the wrong sim for a laptop and it wouldn’t work long term. Rather than making me feel daft, Charlotte just asked for the address to send a replacement sim. I gave it to her, and the next day it arrived at my friend’s parents’ place, so they could bring it to the hospital. She even topped up the new sim with credit to cover what I’d spent on the first one. Honestly, after that stressful mess, Charlotte’s kindness and understanding made a huge difference. She didn’t just fix the technical problem, she showed real empathy for what I was dealing with. My faith in customer service was completely restored - if only everyone could be as good as Charlotte! She really made my day. I wish I could send her some flowers or chocolates to say thanks.

So I got a call from O2 the other day since my £40 contract was about to finish, and I was thinking of changing to a pay monthly deal. I’ve been pretty happy with O2 up to now, the signal is strong where I am and the cost is reasonable. Just a quick update: I got in touch with 02 to let them know about this scam. I gave them the phone number that called me, and they said they’ll forward it to their security department. Big thanks to everyone who shared their experiences and commented - really grateful for you helping out others like me!

Got a call from someone claiming to be with O2, sounded like they had a heavy Asian accent. They offered a 40% discount on my phone bill, but it seemed totally dodgy to me. Definitely a scam.

I got a call from some bloke with a really heavy accent, said he was from 02 and wanted to offer me a deal to lower my phone bill. Thing is, I haven't had 02 for like six years now, so I figured it was dodgy. When I told him that, he got pretty narky and started saying I gotta register my number with another company or something. I ended up putting the phone down when he got all pushy.

Sounds like a pretty trustworthy number to me.

At first, I thought this O2 customer helpline was just another spam call, but turns out I was wrong. I’ve been getting a 40% discount every month thanks to them!

Just tried ringing 02 to see if this number belongs to them, and nope, it's not! Honestly, it’s a total scam. Don’t ever hand over the 6-digit code they say they’ll send you - it’s just them trying to get into your account.

They said they were calling from O2 promotions, but I seriously doubt if the number was legit. Plus, they ended up yelling at me and told me to f*** off, which was pretty shocking!

Watch out for dodgy calls where they pretend to be from O2, trying to hack into your account.

I got a call claiming to be from O2, saying they wanted to offer me a discount on my next bill. Turns out, it’s a scam. They ask you for a One Time Passcode they send you, but if you give it to them, they can get into your account and nick your personal info. Never share your OTP with anyone!

These people say they’re from O2 but they’re not legit. They try to send you a code, whatever you do, do NOT give it to them!

I got a code from them that seemed legit and they wanted me to say it back over the phone. Don’t ever do that! It’s best to get in touch with O2 directly about updating your security info. You can ring 202 using your O2 phone or just check their site for help.

I got a call from someone saying they had a 40% off deal on my contract. When I mentioned the account wasn’t in my name, they said they'd send me a one-time password as some sort of promo code to log into my O2 account. I didn't share the code and just ended the call and blocked the number. Be careful, they might use that info to get into your account and buy stuff in your name. Saw other comments too about this number being dodgy and already reported as scam. Don’t fall for it!

This is just a scam, don’t fall for it! 😂 They’re not with O2 at all. Never share any codes or personal info, or they’ll hack into your account for sure. Proper con artists trying to trick people.

Beware, these are scammers pretending to be O2. They’re not legit, so don’t share any codes or personal info with them. They’ll just hack your account if you do. Classic fake review stuff! Well done for calling them out though 😂
