I never got a phone call, but out of nowhere an email popped up saying they were going to take £245 from my bank every 3 years. Hey, I got an email saying they were going to take £365 from my bank for a Microsoft subscription renewal. I rang the number they gave me in the email, but when I looked it up it turned out to be connected to some sort of scam. I’d recently made an online purchase and used a discount code, so not sure if that’s how they got in. Just to be safe, I’ve cancelled my card now.

Got a call from that number, same story, guy spoke with a strong Indian accent and already knew loads about me, even the answer to my security question. Then he asked me to confirm parts of my pin. Right after, I got a message from o2 saying my password was changed and my account was locked. When I rang o2, they told me it was some overseas third-party agency they hired for upselling contracts but apparently they've gone off the rails. Honestly, really let down by o2 - for such a huge company, this is just shocking.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent saying she was from O2, offering me a 30% discount on my bill. Felt dodgy right away, especially when she mentioned other people were getting 40% off 😁. She kept asking if I was keen to go ahead with the deal, then said she’d send me a 6-digit code by text and wanted me to call back with it. She tried to get the last four digits of my bank account or my O2 account number. I just ended the call. Pretty sure it’s a scam!!!

Just got a call from a woman with a strong Indian accent, shouting so loud I couldn’t get a word in. She kept going on about some "automatic invoice" I supposedly needed to pay, offering me a 30% discount. I've been a customer of O2 since back in 2010 and I can honestly say, I've never encountered any issues. The value they offer is quite impressive, and I appreciate how my device contract is distinct from my monthly usage plan. Quite a clever setup, if you ask me!
6 years
I reached out to terminate my contract since I had just completed my 24-month commitment. I mentioned that I was switching to a SIM-only plan and significantly lowering my data allowance. To my surprise, the agent presented me with an exceedingly affordable offer and didn’t pressure me about my budget, wrapping everything up in about five minutes. I’d deduct a star, though, due to the app’s truly lacklustre and exorbitantly priced upgrade options.

I must say, O2 has truly impressed me! It’s hands down the best network out there. I recently upgraded my wife from a SIM plan to a device plan, but when the new phone arrived, it was unfortunately damaged. I gave O2 a bell, and they were absolutely marvellous! They sorted a replacement to be sent out for the very next day to exchange the faulty device. Exceptional service, I couldn't be happier! A solid 10 out of 10 in my book!

Cheers to the Bury O2 team! I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Rachel at the Bury O2 outlet. She assisted me with swapping my SIM last Thursday, a task that may seem straightforward for many, but was rather intimidating for a chap like me in his golden years. I must say, I've had quite a positive experience with the O2 store in Worthing, Tooting, and Wandsworth. However, my visit to the O2 shop at Clapham Junction was a different story altogether! Hello there, 02! I'm just a cantankerous old chap often grumbling about life’s little annoyances. Not too long ago, I stumbled upon those antiquated smoke signals and that Morse code malarkey. Oh, what a time it was! Always a mishap waiting to happen-someone trying to start a fire with a bucket of water or decoding messages that left me positively electrified! But then I came across this 02 business, and I must say, things have turned a corner. It’s comforting to know I've got a dependable service at my fingertips. Cheers for that!

Usually, I can't fault the service here, but for the past fortnight, it's been utterly shambolic. I'm situated a mere 6 or 7 hundred metres away from the transmitter! Just to clarify, my phone is perfectly above board and has plenty of credit left.

Recently, I acquired a SIM card for a dongle to help out a mate who’s currently in hospital. I encountered some issues trying to keep tabs on the usage so I could top it up, and ended up reaching out to O2's Customer Services for some guidance. The first chap I spoke to was rather unsympathetic; despite me repeatedly explaining that my friend didn’t have a mobile phone, he insisted I tell him to register with O2 for a text message with a code... It was all rather frustrating, to be honest. In a fit of desperation, I tried my luck and called again, this time being connected to an adviser named Charlotte. I made it abundantly clear that I was on the verge of tears and might either burst into tears or have a meltdown. Charlotte, bless her, remained composed and really listened to what I had to say. Almost immediately, she got to the crux of the issue. It turned out I’d mistakenly purchased the wrong type of SIM for a laptop, and that it would cease to function after a while. Rather than making me feel foolish, she calmly asked for the address to which she could send a replacement SIM, and I provided it without hesitation. To my amazement, the next day, the new SIM arrived at my friend’s parents' house, ready for him to use in the hospital. As if that wasn't enough, she even topped it off with credit equal to what I had put on the original one! It genuinely turned out to be a brilliant outcome from a rather exasperating situation, especially since everyone involved was already under considerable strain. Charlotte clearly understood not just the technical side of things but also showed immense empathy for my predicament. I left the interaction feeling uplifted about customer service - if only all representatives could emulate Charlotte! She truly made my day, and I only wish I could send her some chocolates or a bouquet as a small token of appreciation for her kindness.

Just the other day, I found myself chatting with an O2 customer service agent regarding my monthly bill of £40, which was about to wrap up. I reached out to customer support today, as I was struggling with a code I received regarding my upgrade. I had the pleasure of speaking with a delightful lady named Eleanor, who really took the time to assist me. She managed to sort my problem and helped me secure a fantastic deal! I hung up feeling quite pleased with the help I received and excited about my upcoming upgrade! I've encountered some truly dreadful customer service in the past, and I can’t help but wish that more representatives possessed the same level of patience and skill in dealing with people as Eleanor did. If that were the case, I reckon O2 would have a significantly more satisfied customer base! Thank you once more, Eleanor, and here’s hoping for a wonderful time in Spain! x

I must say, my experience with O2 has been rather splendid thus far. The network coverage has been nothing short of excellent, and the pricing is quite reasonable too. I've dealt with a few rather lacklustre providers in the past-Virgin Mobile and, more recently, EE come to mind-and I can confidently say that O2 surpasses them by a considerable margin. Fingers crossed it stays this way!

However, since making the switch to O2, things have been rather splendid, if I’m honest! On top of that, scoring complimentary access to AppleTV+ and Disney+ has been a lovely perk! Here’s to hoping that this impressive service keeps up its stellar performance...

Quick and pleasant experience I signed up with O2 over the weekend and shortly after, I got an email prompting me to ring in for order confirmation. As soon as I made the call, I was connected to a delightful advisor who was both warm and accommodating. It’s early days, but I must say I’m quite taken with the quality of service I’ve received thus far!

I swung by the O2 store in Redcar, Teesside, and I must say, Tommy was absolutely lovely. He handled my query with zero fuss and put me at ease straight away. By the time I walked out, I was quite chuffed - everything was sorted without any hassle!

I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the team at the Truro shop, particularly Luke, for their invaluable assistance during what was quite a challenging situation yesterday. Their support made all the difference!

Just got a call from this number, sounded like a thick South Asian accent. There was loads of background noise which instantly made me suspicious. They said they'd send a text to verify something, but I regularly get texts from 02 about my bills and this wasn’t even from the same thread! Total scam, avoid it. Honestly, with all the job losses and tough times, it’s shocking these scammers are still out here preying on honest folks. Pretty awful, really. Best to block or answer and call them out.

Just a quick update: I got in touch with 02 to let them know about this scam. I gave them the phone number that called me, and they said they’ll forward it to their security department. Big thanks to everyone who shared their experiences and commented - really grateful for you helping out others like me!

Got a call from someone claiming to be with O2, sounded like they had a heavy Asian accent. They offered a 40% discount on my phone bill, but it seemed totally dodgy to me. Definitely a scam.

I got a call from some bloke with a really heavy accent, said he was from 02 and wanted to offer me a deal to lower my phone bill. Thing is, I haven't had 02 for like six years now, so I figured it was dodgy. When I told him that, he got pretty narky and started saying I gotta register my number with another company or something. I ended up putting the phone down when he got all pushy.

I contacted the telephone number 02 for clarification regarding this particular contact. Turns out, it doesn’t belong to them at all! This is simply a case of fraud, plain and straightforward. Avoid sharing any 6-digit codes they might send your way; it’s just a ruse to gain access to your account. Stay vigilant!

Claiming to be from O2's promotions team, but I have my doubts about the authenticity of this number. For starters, the person on the other end was quite rude and actually yelled at me to clear off! It certainly doesn’t give off a professional vibe.

I just wanted to warn everyone about a dodgy phone call I received claiming to be from O2. The caller was pretending to offer a discount on my next bill, but it’s all a ruse. They aim to get into your account by asking for a One Time Passcode. If you happen to share this with them, they could easily gain access to your personal info and cause a world of trouble. Please, whatever you do, don’t disclose your OTP to them!

Don't respond! They're masquerading as O2 representatives. They'll attempt to send you a code. Whatever you do, do not share that code with them!

You might receive a genuine passcode that they’ll want you to verbalise. It’s wise not to disclose this information. Instead, reach out to O2 for guidance on updating your security settings. You can give them a ring on 202 if you’re using your O2 phone, or simply head to their online portal for assistance.

I received a phone call from someone purporting to offer a 40% discount on my contract, which immediately raised my suspicions. When I asked for details, they inquired about the account holder, and it wasn’t under my name. Subsequently, they requested that I send a one-time password to access my O2 account online, which they masked as a promotional code. At that point, I decided to hang up and block the number; I had no intention of sharing any codes with them. Be wary - if you disclose any personal information, they could quite easily gain access to your account and even order devices to locations that aren’t yours. I've noticed other reviewers highlighting the dubious nature of this number, clearly indicating it’s linked to scammers, and it's been flagged multiple times.

This looks like a dodgy review put out by some con artists. Hats off for raising the stakes! 😂 Just a heads up, this isn't affiliated with O2, and they won’t share any codes or particulars. If you provide them with your info, they'll be able to access your account, so do be careful!

This is clearly a fraudulent review by some scammers. Kudos for upping the game! 😂 Just to clarify, it's definitely not O2, and they wouldn't provide any codes or information. If anyone gives you that, be wary; they could easily access your account!
Kudos
