I recently had an unfortunate experience with a company called Total Cleaning Company South that promised to clean carpets for just £29. However, when their so-called "cleaner" turned up, it quickly became a high-pressure sales situation run by a total chancer. They seem to specifically target the elderly and the vulnerable, and it's nothing short of a scam. My elderly mother, who is already unwell, fell for their initial phone call, which was nothing more than bait. The operator assured her that the service would only cost £29, but she ended up being coerced into handing over a staggering £500 by one of their aggressive workers, who, to make matters worse, actually damaged her carpets in the process. Now, my mother is too frightened to step outside her own home because of this ordeal. We've even reached out to the police regarding the incident. I urge everyone to keep a watchful eye on their elderly relatives and to steer well clear of this company!
