I put up an ad on Gumtree and then started getting calls from some Indian call centre about making a claim for an accident. When I asked if they could confirm my name, they said they weren’t allowed to give out that info. Bit weird if you ask me.

Some bloke with a sort of Asian accent rang me, claiming he was with traffic control. I just ended the call straight away, figured it's probably another scam about a car crash.

Just got a message from Zain Alberto, apparently he works with the UN in Edinburgh. He’s planning to come down to Plymouth next Monday to check out a car I’m selling. He’s already put forward a decent offer without even seeing the car, which seems a bit odd. He mentioned he’ll need a vehicle while he’s working in the south west. Honestly, I'm hoping this all goes smoothly and I don’t end up having to share my bank details when he turns up.

I got a call claiming I’d been involved in a car crash! I jokingly told them I was wasted and had somehow killed three people on Christmas Day, but they still insisted I could get £2000 compensation. Total scam!
